Steve Kerr said he'll give The Warriors have no alternatives at this point, of course, but it's still good to hear the coach explicitly give DAR the green light. "He might have taken a couple [shots] that I wasn’t thrilled with," Kerr said after Friday's game, when Russell shot 9-of-24 from the field. "But he’s also a guy who I’m going to give a lot of leash to, because he can get hot in a hurry." Russell has never shot better than 43.4% from the field, or 78.2% from the line, so the high-volume stats will come at the expense of your fantasy team's percentages.
Draymond Green (left index finger) said he is dealing with a ligament issue.
Yikes. He had a wrap on his finger for the post-game interview, and he has a real chance to miss Saturday's game against the Hornets. Coach Steve Kerr said that the he will limit Dray's minutes and he just hit 34 on Friday, so we'd consider him closer to doubtful at this point. That'll clear the way for Eric Paschall to get huge minutes as the starting four. As an aside, if Dray does miss this one, the only Warrior from last year's team who would be available be Damion Lee. Life comes at you fast.
Brandon Clarke (back soreness) is questionable for Saturday against the Suns.
He's been on the injury report for back soreness before, so this might just be a lingering issue. Clarke has been performing as expected in four games, averaging 10.5 points, 5.0 boards, 1.0 dimes, 1.5 blocks and 0.8 steals. He'll likely be a late-round player when the Grizzlies are healthy, but his value could skyrocket with an injury.
Pat McCaw (left knee) will not play on Saturday against the Bucks. That should make Terence Davis II a rotation guy, but he doesn't have much fantasy value right now.
Nerlens Noel (right foot contusion) is probable for Saturday against the Pelicans.
This is good news after it looked like he was going to be questionable. Steven Adams (knee) is questionable for tomorrow, so Noel's value will hinge on his status.
Derrick Favors (right knee) is doubtful for Saturday against the Thunder.
He's a slow healer, so it may take him beyond Saturday to get back out there. Jahlil Okafor feasted against Nikola Jokic, and he should get a shot at a tougher matchup against Steven Adams and/or Nerlens Noel on Saturday. Jaxson Hayes may not be a great bet for minutes because Nicolo Melli may come off the bench until Thursday.
Hassan Whiteside (knee) did not practice on Friday and his status for Saturday against the 76ers is questionable.
His knee is still sore from Wednesday's minor knee issue that kept him out of some action in the first half. He did start the second half and looked fine against OKC, so he should still have a good chance to go. If he somehow can't go, Skal Labissiere will get all he can handle and the Blazers may have to call up Moses Brown.
Zach Collins (left shoulder) is still going through testing and will not play on Saturday against the 76ers.
He's been out since Sunday and Collins still going through testing suggests he'll be missing more time following Saturday. The Blazers need him badly right now, but they'll turn to Skal Labissiere, Mario Hezonja and Anthony Tolliver. Skal and Mario are stream plays in deeper leagues depending on the stats you want
Will Barton (left toe inflammation) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game in Orlando.
Barton was a game-time decision for Thursday's tilt against the Pelicans, but was eventually ruled out. With Barton sidelined, Michael Porter Jr. made his NBA debut and tallied a team-high 15 points, four rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes. MPJ would likely see extended minutes once again if Barton is unable to suit up.
