No must play or cash needed in this game,
We have a ton of players news for the 11 game slate tonight! Here is the current list. I will update any changes this afternoon. :facepunch:
Rajon Rondo (sore right calf) is listed as doubtful on the injury report for Friday's game vs. the Heat.
It was reported on Thursday that Rondo had been ruled out of Friday's contest, but he's officially "doubtful." Nonetheless, it remains highly unlikely he makes his season debut on Friday night.
Kyle Kuzma (stress reaction, left ankle) is listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Heat.
Kuzma is coming off his best game of the season, as he scored a season-high 15 points vs. the Bulls on Tuesday in 21 minutes. Fortunately, it appears his ankle injury is no longer an issue.
Gary Harris (left ankle) is listed as probable for Friday against the 76ers.
He wasn't on the injury report earlier today, but of course this is the Nuggets. They've been among the toughest teams to trust on injury reporting, but hopefully Harris will suit up in a big game at home. If he's limited, we'll see more Malik Beasley, Monte Morris and Torrey Craig.
Shabazz Napier (right hamstring) is doubtful for Friday against the Warriors.
He was a game-time call for Wednesday, but Napier didn't suit up for that one. Napier's injury may open the door for Jarrett Culver, who looked great against the Grizzlies with 15 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
Jeff Teague (illness) is questionable vs. the Warriors on Friday.
Shabazz Napier (hamstring) is doubtful and if Teague can't suit up, we're likely to see plenty of Jarrett Culver at point guard in a delectable matchup. Either way, Culver has shown that he's comfortable with the ball in his hands, which doesn't bode well for Teague as the season progresses.
Jordan Bell (right shoulder sprain) is questionable for Friday against the Warriors.
He was a DNP-CD on Wednesday, so Bell's injury may not matter much. He does get a revenge game here and maybe coach Ryan Saunders will let Bell get out there to stick it to coach Steve Kerr.
Grayson Allen (left ankle) won't play vs. the Magic on Friday.
It doesn't sound like Allen is close to a return, leaving Marko Guduric with a handful of extra minutes.
D'Angelo Russell (right ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game in Minnesota.
This is great news for DAR's owners, who have been waiting to see what he can do as the focal point of the offense without Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
Dewayne Dedmon (sprained right knee) is questionable for Friday's game.
Dedmon has been benched in favor of Richaun Holmes so he doesn't have much value anyway.
Terrence Ross (sore right knee) is doubtful to play vs. Memphis on Friday.
Ross was out Wednesday as he continues to rest tendinitis in the knee. He's only shooting 28.2% this season in just 22.2 minutes per game (down from 42.8% shooting in 26.5 minutes last year).
Blake Griffin (left knee, hamstring) is listed 'out' for Friday's game in Indiana.
Griffin has been cleared for all basketball activities, so there's a good chance he'll return for Monday's home game vs. the Wolves. If not then, we might see him Tuesday in Miami or Friday in Charlotte. Once Griffin returns, Markieff Morris loses value.
Derrick Rose (right hamstring) is out again vs. the Pacers on Friday.
Reggie Jackson (back) is out weeks and Tim Frazier is doubtful with a nagging shoulder issue. The Pistons have empowered Luke Kennard to run more offense, with Bruce Brown also taking on a big role as the starting point guard. Blake Griffin is day-to-day and he'll absorb plenty of playmaking when he's healthy, but that won't happen until Monday at the earliest.
Tim Frazier (right shoulder) is doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.
Frazier has missed three straight games and the doubtful tag doesn't bode well. He was ruled out early for Wednesday's game, though, so this is a step in the right direction. Reggie Jackson (back) and Derrick Rose (hamstring) are still out, so Bruce Brown should continue to soak up huge minutes as the Pistons' default starting PG.
Ben Simmons (sprained right AC joint) is expected to miss the Sixers' next three games, and he'll be re-evaluated on Sunday.
This means Simmons is probably out for Friday's game vs. Denver, plus games on Sunday and Tuesday. The good news is that it's considered a 'minor' sprain and X-rays were negative. He was expected to have more tests on Friday, and it's being called a 'Grade 1' sprain which is the least severe.
J.J. Redick (left knee bruise) is questionable vs. the Raptors on Friday.
This is the first we've heard about the injury, stay in a holding pattern until after Friday's shootaround. If he can't suit up, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Frank Jackson should take on the bulk of his playing time.
Lonzo Ball (right adductor strain) is probable vs. Toronto on Friday.
It was reported that Ball exited Monday's game due to leg cramps, and he appeared to roll his ankle while simply running up the court, so this adductor strain is new information. The good news is that he's probable after resting on Wednesday, and should be in the starting lineup on Friday. We should know for sure after the Pelicans' shootaround.
Cam Reddish (sore right shoulder) is probable for Friday's game vs. Sacramento.
The Hawks' rookie played 23 minutes on Wednesday without incident, so this looks like a simple precaution. He been struggling even when healthy, shooting 24.6% from the field with 6.1 points, 0.7 triples, 4.1 boards and 1.9 assists in 25.4 minutes. There's upside here, at least, so keep an eye on him.
Avery Bradley (bruised lower right leg) plans to play on Friday.
He's officially questionable, however, and his status won't be updated until he receives treatment Friday morning. Bradley's lengthy injury history might prompt the Lakers to hold him out as a precaution, but we'll know more soon.
DeAndre Jordan (sprained left ankle) is officially questionable for Friday's game vs. Portland.
Jordan was limited in practice on Thursday, but it's encouraging that he at least got on the court. If he does sit out, Jarrett Allen's minutes will go up and Nicolas Claxton sounds like the most likely center to assume some backup duties.
Dennis Smith Jr. (personal) joined the Knicks in Dallas on Thursday, and he's questionable to play on Friday.
Smith Jr. has been out since Sunday due to a death in the family, so the team will assess his conditioning before deciding whether he'll play. Frank Ntilikina has stepped up without DSJ and RJ Barrett has been handling point guard duties, so we're not eager to bet on Smith Jr. even if he's cleared to play Friday. (edited)
Paul Millsap (cut on forehead) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, but he's expected to play in Friday's game against the 76ers.
Millsap exited Tuesday's game with a cut on his forehead that required 11 stitches to close, but it sounds like there's a decent chance he'll get back out there for Friday's game. Check back for another update following today's shootaround.
Jeremy Lamb (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons.
This will be Lamb's second straight game on the sidelines, which should result in another start for Aaron Holiday and more scoring opportunities for T.J. Warren. Holiday came through with 18 points, three triples, two rebounds and one assist across 31 minutes as a starter on Wednesday.
Goga Bitadze (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons.
Bitadze had been playing some excellent ball with Myles Turner (ankle) out, so this is an unfortunate development, and he could miss multiple games while he goes through the concussion protocol testing. He didn't play much while Turner and Domantas Sabonis were healthy, and with Turner nearing his return, Bitadze's value may be nearing its end. We like his upside, but the minutes might not be there for him.
Myles Turner (right ankle sprain) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Pistons.
The Pacers sure could use Turner for a matchup against Andre Drummond, particularly with Goga Bitadze (concussion) out, so maybe he'll be able to get back out there tonight. We'll have a better idea on his status following today's shootaround, but if he isn't able to get out there, expect massive minutes for Domantas Sabonis and more opportunity falling to guys like Justin Holiday and T.J. Leaf.
Justise Winslow placed in concussion protocol.
Coach Erik Spoelstra confirmed Winslow has been placed in the concussion protocol. Winslow missed Thursday's win with a reported headache, and players in the protocol must pass stringent tests before being allowed to return to play. Winslow has been cleared to fly prior to Friday's road game.
DeAndre Jordan (sprained left ankle) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. Portland.
Jordan sprained the ankle in the fourth quarter of Monday's victory over the Pelicans and has been limited at practice this week. Jarrett Allen will draw the start at center on Friday night and should see 30+ minutes of action. Nicolas Claxton was called up from the G-League earlier this week and is expected to serve as Allen's backup on Friday.
Dennis Smith Jr. (personal) will not play Friday in Dallas.
DSJ, who hasn't played since last week, rejoined the Knicks on Thursday and was able to get in a workout Friday morning. However, due to his time away grieving with his family, the Knicks don't feel he's game ready yet. The Knicks host the Cavs on Sunday night, so Smith may be active for that contest. Frank Ntilikina will draw another start on Friday vs. the Mavs.
According to Wolves reporter Kent Youngblood, Shabazz Napier (right hamstring) is a game-time decision Friday against the Warriors.
Napier is listed as doubtful on the official injury report, but it sounds like he has a chance to suit up after all. Jeff Teague (illness) has already been ruled out. If Napier is unable to play, Jarrett Culver is expected to draw another start.
Lonzo Ball (right adductor strain) said he will play vs. Toronto on Friday.
Ball is listed as probable on the injury report, so it was assumed he'd suit up, but it's always nice to hear confirmation from the player. Through the Pels first seven games, Zo is averaging 12.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 2.4 made 3-pointers.
Jeff Teague (illness) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. the Warriors.
No surprise here, as Teague missed Wednesday's game due to the illness as well. Shabazz Napier (hamstring) also sat out Wednesday. Jarrett Culver was inserted into the starting lineup on Wednesday and looked great, tallying 15 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes. Culver could draw another start Friday night and will be a popular DFS option.
Myles Turner (right ankle sprain) will be a game-time decision Friday vs. the Pistons.
Turner has missed each of the Pacers' last four contests due to the ankle issue. We'll get our next update when coach Nate McMillian speaks to the media pregame. Goga Bitadze (concussion) has already been ruled out, so Indy will have to rely on Domantas Sabonis and T.J. Leaf to keep Detroit's Andre Drummond in check.
Terrence Ross (sore right knee) will not play vs. Memphis on Friday.
This will be the second straight game on the shelf for Ross. However, coach Steve Clifford did say that there was a possibility he will practice on Saturday. Ross has struggled mightily this season, and hopefully, some rest will allow him to get back on track. Michael Carter-Williams played well as a reserve on Wednesday, tallying 13 points and seven boards in 21 minutes. He could again see some extra time on Friday playing off the ball. Wesley Iwundu logged just seven minutes off the bench.
D'Angelo Russell will play Friday.
Russell will return to the lineup and play on Friday vs. the Wolves after missing the past three games due to a sprained ankle. His return is expected to move Ky Bowman back to a reserve role.
Pacers: Myles turner ruled out. Sabonis and TJ leaf will hold down the front court. Jeremy lamb ruled out as well. Aaron holiday will most likely start.
Golden state: will start DAR and Poole in the backcourt moving bowman to a bench role.
Wolves: starting graham and moving okogie to the bench but graham hasn't been very impressive even when starting.
Wizards: starting troy brown moving bonga to the bench
Pelicans: JJ Reddick and lonzo ball available to play
Kings: Giles and Demond available to play, making Richuan Holmes less enticing to play in line ups.
Hawks starting line up:
T.Young
C.Reddish
D.Hunter
J.Parker
A.Len
Taj Gibson starting at Center for the Knicks
Knicks starting five:
F.Ntilikina
R.Barret
M.Morris
J.Randle
T.Gibson
Out: Mitchell Robinson (Concussion)
