I'm in a 10 team H2H league, and sitting in last place at the moment, however our league is insanely tight except for the guy at no. 1, with only 6.5 category wins separating 10th and 2nd. Basically it's all still to play for but I need to get work done.

I picked up Kyrie yesterday, and was considering trading him straight away for some safe value (I've obviously been listening to too much Besbris). I was thinking I would be happy with someone top 30 or so, but a very interesting offer has been made...

A guy offered me Jimmy Butler for Kyrie and DeRozan. If i take the trade I basically just traded DeRozan for Butler and only paid with a few days losing a streaming spot. If I hold and Kyrie works out then I grabbed top 10 value off the waiver wire.

My team is very strong in rebs and steals, punting 3s, and above average in everything else, with points, assists and ft% needing the most help being between 0.5 and 1 in Z-scores. Losing DeRozan for Butler would also be a bit of a dent in my fg%.

Which way do I go here? How risky do we think Kyrie is? Worth the insane upside or do I cash in for something safer?

Hmmmmmmmmm...

Do you think your team could win the championship? If not, I say you roll the dice on Kyrie since he's the type of guy that could put you over the top.

OR, if someone offers you a 3rd rounder for him straight up, I'd do that right now.

I do think I could win, yeah. My team is very strong and just had some issues in the first half of the year (mostly Ayton). But yeah I think that's a good way of looking at it, my team can win as is so adding to that is great, but breaking up what's working could actually be the more risky move.

Not that I would, but the thing that's got me convinced here is that if I drop kyrie tomorrow I'd still be in a strong position.

Ill be keeping or holding for a better offer.
Thanks a lot Dan!
