Hi Chef,
I have Nance and Mitch Robinson. I feel like Nance will bounce back once Cav ownership tell Drew to play the young guys (particularly as Nance just re-signed for a big contract). Everyone is saying to drop Nance, but if he gets up to 20 mpg, he is an easy top 90 guy. Plus he fits my team build (H2H, 11 cat - we split rebounds in offensive and defensive and include fouls). What are your thoughts?
Also, I think I can drop Robinson in my league and get him back if he heats up again. Sure, he had foul trouble, but that only came in the third quarter. First half was horrible with the lack of playing time. Would you drop? WW has Ariza, Isaac (who I dropped a couple of days ago for Robinson), SloMo, Bogdan (returning soon).
Thanks
Didn’t Chandler get bought out and heading to LAL? Does this hurt McGee?
You're right- totally forgot. In that case, still probably not for Tyson and I think McGee can maintain the 26 minutes he's getting now.
Man the Cavs are such a mess and it doesn't help the Cavs gave Larry Drew a vote of confidence (he's horrible).
Still, Nance does fit your format better , has proven path to value in limited minutes and has a better h2h sched.
And I think you can probably pick Mitch back up- he was dropped in 2 of my 5 h2h leegs already. You just need a spot for him though.
Ariza is playing well; don;t think that'll last ros but he is an option at the present.
Hey, chef!! Youre still up? Lol well I got tj warren and boban at the end of my bench. Is Tristan Thompson better than boban? And mikal Bridges is like a poor man Kris Middleton, is he a better pick up than the Warren? In h2h?
Chef,
The beast of a H2H team you rated is floundering 1-2 after a couple weeks without AD or CP3 (and he forgot how to play when rondo spat on him).
New to the immediate needs of H2H, and missing the ability to just lag in games played. There are 18 rounds, top 4 go to finals. Do i need to take any drastic action or just patience?
Team:
Anthony Davis
Chris Paul
Clint Capela
Myles Turner
Niko Mirotic
Buddy Hield
Darren Collison
Taurean Prince
Otto Porter
Kyle Anderson
Josh Isaac
Josh Okogie
IR: Demarcus Cousins
There is some good injured talent on the wire (Dunn, Bog Bog, Portis and Barton).
Do i just turn Okogie and Isaac into 2 streaming slots and roll best player of the day throigh to fill roster and ride out the slumps then grab injured talent as they get healthy?
I like Barton if you have another IL spot. I like him even more than Boogie- was top-30 before he went down.
How bad have you been losing? and yeah CP and Kawhi disappointing on my roto :/
I have several teams hit with at least 2-3 injuries- I've literally dumped my Isaac, Anderson and if I had Collison, I'd dump him too. Okogie is also a stream though I kinda like him ros.
I hate to fall too far into a whole early-on (although your guys havent been that hurt so I don't think you have been). If you're not too far back, you don;t have to be as extreme streaming as me, but I like to keep a minimum of 2 spots to stream at least for h2h playoffs. Maybe only 1 if my the squad is dominating every week, but that's not the case here.
This is not roto where you necessarily want to have a balanced team- you want to have cats that you're very competitive in week to week- 6-7 is usually the best that one can get out of any given draft.
And if you're down 1-2 that means you don't get individual stat wins and losses just composite on the week.
I've heard of but never seen or played this style In this format you want to consolidate cats even more- build up 5-6 strong cats so you have a chance to win 5-4 ie 1-0 every week.
Thanks alot!
Yes, its the ESPN (I hate espn already) Most cats format. 9 cats each cat wins a point and most points wins round. Win/losses are counted only not score.
Only one IR, might swap Barton for Boogie. Lost 5-4 by a few points (with no AD or CP) and lost 6-3 last week when CP and AD were out or shooting bricks.
So based on the squad, focus in on FG/FT%'s, Pts, Rebs, Stls, Blks. With CP i can probably stream with an assist focus if theres a week against a particularly weak assist team (likely sacrifocong FG). Seem like a plan?
Put this in the forum but will repost here. SloMo and Issac dropped in my league. I’m coming 2nd but already good in blocks and steals. Are they worth the stash if I’m already holding onto Bogdanovic injured.
It’s a 12 team h2h league and the end of my bench is Jerami Grant wes matthews and josh hart
Anny time, Veg.
oh, that's why lol (ESPN leeg).
That's definitely a plan and that's what I do- stream spots to pick up Ws outside my core or to strengthen core against a similar build as mine/an extremely stacked squad.
I'd say since Slo-Mo is almost just contributing in steals, since you're already good there, he doesn't really help. Isaac helps in steals and blocks and some boards so depends on your rebounding.
Of your 3 guys, I like Grant the least (due to %s) so you can consider Isaac, but he's not a must add at all. His sucking for most of the season means a lot of people will have a bad taste in their mouth already.
I like to stream my last spot or two in h2h, but if your team is rolling, even better .
Cheffffff!! 🙂
Here goes.
Current team:
PG: Lowry, Ntilikina
SG: Middleton, Lamb, Fournier, Monk
SF: Porter Jr., Kyle Anderson, Mikal Bridges
PF: Collins, Gibson, Adebayo
C: Towns, Whiteside
IL: Barton
(Btw I'm super happy about my Hield + Collison for Otto and Fournier trade right about now lol go Otto!!)
I’m going with a points punt with this team. It started off as an assist punt team, but Lowry went even more assists crazy this year, so I made a few trades to change the punt.
After the Otto trade tho, I want one more PG, and considering trading away Fournier to get one. I want some more 3s, assists, and steals out of it. I was thinking of targeting Rubio, but wondering if I should aim higher, especially cuz Rubio sucking currently and also gives less 3s. He’d give the assists and steals tho.
I dunno maybe I should just wait for now cuz Fournier is giving the assists and steals, uncharacteristically. Or maybe I should get rid of him before he stops giving those. Hmm. His ability to rack up points on a bad Magic team is useless for me tho.
Also, picked up Bam just in case of Whiteside’s injury, but Whiteside seems like he’ll be fine, so going to be dropping Bam.
Considering picking up either Mitch Rob (recently dropped after turd game), or Lin (seems to be doing a little better now).
Any other ideas for trade targets I could consider?
What up Deki!
Yup, sometimes player performance/injuries makes you retool your build on the fly- gotta roll with the punches.
I say go get Rubio now (he's actually ranked top150 to Evan's top-135) because it'll be hard to upgrade even more considering Fournier's low ADP (which will make it hard just to get Ricky). There's not a lot of guys that are that good for the build but you can look at Hart or even George Hill on the wire (low volume but gains value in punt points).
I think either one though I'm a lil worried about Lin's low minutes even though he's been playing well. Mitch will get more run but will struggle with consistency. Not sure either will be permanent fixtures on your roster.
Hey chef
Leage info
12 team 9 cat h2h
Current team is
PG:Kemba/Rubio/vanvleet
SG:Doncic/butler/hardaway
SF:Hayward/Carroll
PF: Tobias/jabari
C: Towns/Allen/capella
IR: Barton
Very strong in Rebs
Pretty decent in FG/Blks/stls/pts
Need to improve 3’s Asts
Terrible in FT/turnovers
Carroll and venvleet are my streamers at the moment.
On my waivers is guys like
Kyle Anderson/Justin Winslow/James Johnson/Josh Jackson/Brooke Lopez/Thad young/ olynyk/ Larry nance/ turner.
I’m not sure about Carroll so Who do you think I should go for? I just heard Derrick white is coming back this week? Should I target him seeing as he will be the main Pg for Spurs?
