Hey Chef!

I am curious on what your strategies for fantasy playoffs preparation.

Do you trade for players with great playoff schedules?

How many streaming spot is preferable during the playoffs?

Lets say I had an offer of Tobias and Eric Bledsoe for my Lillard, would you do that move just to get the solid playoff schedule?

Thanks!

Chef
I’m in a 16 team h2h daily points league- Team is strong but top heavy. Bottom of roster includes James Johnson, Mcgruder, Burks, Lin, and Mitch Rob. Lin and less so Burks are helpful bc my format puts a BIG premium on the 3 ball!

On my wire are Richaun, Derrick White, Forbes, as well as Monte Morris who can be claimed off waivers overnight. Does Holmes (or any others) have a better path to lasting fantasy value than any of the guys at the end of my bench? My goal is to catch some lightning now without giving up a bunch of end of season upside. Thanks Chef.

Hey Chef currently 8th place in my league. it is a h2h points league.I was proposed this trade: McGee & Paul for Derozan & Bazemore. should I do it? it would help me in the scoring categories.

Zach LaVine
Will Barton
Rodney McGruder
Taurean Prince
LeBron James
Jeremy Lamb
JaVale McGee
Rudy Gobert
Chris Paul
Jayson Tatum
Kyle Anderson
Larry Nance Jr.
Jonathan Isaac

any other advice you have for my team is also greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

What's up Swaggy,

I sure do- traded for PG, Otto and JaVale largely to boost games for h2h playoffs.

Though because I like my streaming spots, I try to get the best player in the trade so I'd be the guy trying to get your Lillard for Bledsoe and Toby (in 16+ deep I can see going for depth but in 12-teamers, I want the best player).

As for how many streaming spots, that's wholly dependent on how good your team is and how good/what builds the other teams have. I usually want two ut if my team is really stacked, one will suffice (sometimes I'll decide which layer to stream right as we come into the playoffs).

If the other team has a very targeted team build (ie punting 2-3 cats) I may stream 3 or 4 spots to attack his weaknesses.

I think you can change Burks for Holmes in a vacuum.

McGruder is another candidate down the road if a better player pops up on the wire- more 3s and points.

And Lin, while productive when playing ,is always banged up so might not be the best guy to depend on ROS.

Hey man,

Hard to say for sure without knowing specific scoring system but in general 9-cat Derozan and C.P. are very close in value while JaVale has way more value than Bazemore on the season.

For your bench guys, Anderson, Nance and Isaac kinda work better or 9-cat roto and if you need scoring you can look at trying to trade one or two of those guys to get your boost.

One more note- McGruder has been trending down.

Chef, how goes it. The flurry of injuries in yesterday's slate have things spiraling out of control.

In my 8-cat roto league, Kelly Oubre, Larry Nance and Richaun Holmes were prematurely dropped before the end of games.
I'm currently holding onto RHJ, Juan Hernangomez and Elfrid Payton at the bottom of my roster. Any obvious swaps? (No real statistical needs, just after BPA)

Also, whats the best outcome for Trevor Ariza as we approach the 14th, and maybe whats a more realistic outcome?

Love your work as always, keep grindin'

What's up TC, it's going pretty good with players starting to come back from injury (although others are dropping lol)

I like all of those guys better than RHJ I think and also not a huge fan of Payton as he has very limited 9-cat upside.

Best outcome for Ariza is likely the most probable outcome- he'll get traded to a playoff contender pay the same minutes and get more open looks to boost his value to top-75. Most teams he can be traded to also have a better h2h schedule than the Suns as well.

Hiya, Chef.

I'm in a 12 team/9 cat H2H Yahoo league.

Will any of these guys be worth keeping in a week:

Josh Jackson
Justise Winslow
Damyean Dotson

I'm trying not to let the holidays cloud my faith in humanity or Waiver Wire HoFers 🙂

Hi Chef,

Question for 12 team/ 9 cat H2H league

Who would you rather keep for the remainder of the season (have to drop one), and if you could rank these guys ur fav to least fav.
Noah Vonleh
Rondae Hollis Jefferson
Richuan Holmes
Kyle Anderson
Gilgeous-Alexander

And thoughts on De'Anthony Melton. Do you think will have more value vs SGA for the season?

Thanks as always.

Hahaha, you and me both, B.

I think Winslow has the best chance at holding on to some consistent value out of those three, but not as much as he's been having over the last few weeks.

Hey Mike,

In a 9-cat vacuum, I'd go Anderson and Vonleh (close) then Holmes and SGA with RHJ last. Of course they all address different stat sets.

It's hard to say for Melton since we don't k ow how his value will hold up when Booker is back but assuming it dips some, I like SGA better, both as a talent and H2H schedule. That's contingent on how Melton fits with usage hog Booker.

In a 9-cat 12-team league with no IR spots.

I have Prince, G Harris, Mirotic, Porter, and Leonard.

Which god do I have to pray to get my guys back?

For the next 3 weeks, I'm resigned to losing 3-6.... this is sad.

Ouch Jesse, no Il spots are the worst- and on top of it, as guys get back others go down.

You can pray/make offerings to all the basketball gods, especially the gods of health, playoff standings and late-season surges.

May the gods bless you.
