normally i would pick dieng over capela in a 9 cat league but this season seems like thibs be using his dependable workhorse taj gibson at the 4 more on the other hand capela has been showing great improvements and with the addition of cp3 he might actually be producing more not to mention be catching more high % oops. ?
I'm not sure how many minutes Capela gets. If I knew he's getting at least 29-30 MPG, then I would draft him over Dieng hands down. But D'Antoni likes his small ball line-up with Ryan Anderson, and heck, even got Zhou Qi now to potentially play the 5 now for more 3's (although this is a long shot).
I'd rather aim for Nerlens Noel at Round 6-7 to get the defense/FG% numbers. Or, see how far down Dieng drops.. and if he's getting close to his ADP of 80ish, I'll pick him up at around 70-75.
H2H its Capela. Roto its Dieng imo. Also, Thibs has been using Dieng at the 4 and 5 spots in the preseason so I think hes still going to get decent minutes.
Dieng is the pick. He won't hurt you in FT%, and he's solid in both defensive cats. Unless your team is already garbage in FT or needs a slightly bigger boost in FG, Dieng is likely to be the better play over 80 games.
However, they'll probably end the year within 10-15 slots of one another, so it's not a huge deal either way.
by the way its 12t H2H and im pick 12 so yeah... this pick is crucial.
I think JP and Dan got the better analysis here. I'd still personally choose Noel, but Dieng's floor shouldn't be too bad, and his ceiling is pretty high in terms of value, as well as a great balance in stats that doesn't hurt you much. So Dieng seems best. Good luck!
