I play in a 10-team 9-cat H2H League where we can keep two players. This year I'm going into our auction with Giannis and Mitchell as my keepers. Based on those two I'm looking for ideas on a strategy. I'm considering going into the auction with a plan to try and chase down Kawhi Leonard (he is not being kept) and then punt assists but obviously we'll see what happens when the money starts flying. I think these two players give me a nice base across the board so I can go in any direction I'd like but I thought I'd ask for some other opinions on potential strategies. Thanks!
I'd say those 2 are a tough fit because finding an obviously weaker area with those 2 isn't easy. I think it would depend on who the 3rd and 4th guys are and then you formulate a strategy of where to focus.
That's a nice pair. Basically every spot one is weak, the other is stronger. You may want to target a center out of the gate, too, if you're punting assists ... ?
My thoughts exactly on the pairing which is great because it allows me the freedon to do whatever I'd like. But it stinks because I have the freedom to do whatever I like. lol
KAT, Jokic, Embiid and Drummond are all being kept. AD will be available but will cost me an arm and a leg and I'm already keeping Giannis at 59 which is pricey but still a 15-20 $ value. Mitchell is only $2 so collectively I'm in a good spot. I think I can grab Kawhi for about $20 less than AD and now I'm buildin around two blue-chippers with a potential 3rd in Mitchell. I'm targeting Ayton, Turner, Kanter, Whiteside, Love, etc. for my centers (hoping for 3 of them or 2 and someone like Poeltl) and then filling out the wings with the usual suspects in this kind of build: Porter, Klay, Booker, Mirotic, Saric, Harris (Gary or Tobias), etc. Looking at both Murray's for guard spots: Jamal and Dejounte. Maybe Bledsoe if I can't chase down bigger game like Kawhi....
