As much as I don’t like Paytons game, he is probably the safer choice

Brown is a streamer, Payton will be a starter until further notice

I actually kind of like Brown more on the rest of the year. His game is more fantasy friendly and he figures to be one of the last guys left standing once Detroit inevitably ships everyone else off.

Also for what it's worth, BBJ is ranked 108 in 9-cat over his last month of games. Payton is outside the top-200.

Who’s brown’s competition?

Mostly Rose and Kennard. My assumption here is that Rose could potentially get moved if Drummond does. Even if he isn't moved, I'm also making the assumption that they find more ways to play him regardless seeing that they'd just be tanking and developing what they have.

Reggie Jackson could also loom over all of this but who knows what happens with him the rest of the year
