woj bomb was dropped this morning sending monroe to suns.
Does this make Monroe a pick up candidate?
I play on 12 team H2H

If you're dropping someone who is outside of the top 140 and who doesn't have a clear path to top 100 value I would do it. The final trade is not out yet but Monroe is going to be the most skilled post scorer on the Suns. He routinely returned top 60 value (8 cat) when playing around 30 mpg but the Suns have a crowded front court and may view Moose as a short term rental.

Yeah, I'm thinking Monroe and Henson are both worth speculative adds, if your roster can accommodate, but it's also quite possible Monroe gets waived or moved again.

This situation doesn't feel done to me, but I just picked both guys up in one of my leagues and dropped McConnell (I'm 2nd in assists without him ever playing a game for my squad), and Danny Green (that one might hurt me later but I'm a lunatic, so let's see how it goes)

Hm, maybe. Monroe's situation is a bit murkier than Rondo's for a points league. In a standard 9-cat, I think it's the right move, but when %s don't hurt you, Rondo gets a big popcorn stat bounce.

hmmm...my other options to drop were, j rich, harris, warren, or t. prince. what about any of these guys? I could always pick up rondo by dropping one of them

Hi Guys,

I'm in a 14 team, 9 cat, H2H, ESPN league with a 12 team roster (PG, SG, SF, PF, C, G, F, 3 UTL, 2 Bench, no IR).
My Roster consists of:

Eric Bledsoe (Finally!)
Victor Oladipo
Justin Holiday
Nikola Jokic
Nerlens Noel
Damian Lillard
Richuan Holmes
Brook Lopez
Joe Ingles
Trevor Ariza
Taurean Prince

Should I drop Noel for Monroe or Henson?

Thanks for your time and input.

Cheers!

Is it worth dropping Olynyk for Monroe? As it is i'm likely to drop Olynyk again to have a streaming spot.

Just listened to your podcast. The only guy I have you suggested to drop is Dieng. I was planning to hold him to see if he gets run in a week or 2. Who has the better upside provided they both get run?

Brian, I'm not a huge fan of Justin Holiday's ultra inefficient numbers, but that's just me.

Wesley, Dieng has the slightly higher upside, but right now I'd say Gorgui has about a 20% chance of getting going and Monroe has probably about a 35-40% chance to get going. So I was just playing the percentages. I wouldn't fault you either way.

Dan,

I see Holiday as an "Ariza" lite with similar production and slightly worse FG%. Do you think with Lavine's return, that can soften Holiday's FG% deficit? On my current roster, can Bledsoe and Holmes soften Holiday's FG% for H2H?

Yeah, that's semi-true. Ariza is a much lower volume bad FG% guy, though. LaVine will indeed cut into everyone's production, but that's a way off.
