I'm in a 12 team 9-cat auction keeper, five keepers with $5 added to any keepers each season. Can't keep a player longer than three seasons.
I'm currently in 2nd place and have backed myself into a corner regarding keepers (just traded Collins ($1) and Kuzma ($3) for Vucevic ($16) and Lillard ($43), couldn't not do it!). This is a free league among friends but I still wanna win dammit.
Here is my current roster along with what they'd cost to keep next season:
Russell Westbrook OKC - PG ($70)
Damian Lillard Por - PG ($48)
Rajon Rondo NO - PG ($7)
Jrue Holiday NO - PG,SG ($14)
Josh Richardson Mia - PG,SG,SF ($21)
Trevor Ariza Hou - SG,SF ($13)
Andrew Wiggins Min - SG,SF ($30)
Nikola Mirotic NO - SF,PF ($6)
Anthony Davis NO - PF,C ($63)
Myles Turner Ind - PF,C ($46)
Nikola Vucevic Orl - PF,C ($21)
Willie Cauley-Stein Sac - PF,C ($11)
Larry Nance Jr. Cle - PF,C ($5)
I'm thinking my five keepers are Damian Lillard ($48), Jrue Holiday ($14), Nikola Mirotic ($6), Anthony Davis ($63), and Willie Cauley-Stein ($11), which would leave me with $58 for eight more players during the next auction draft.
Lillard/Holiday/Mirotic/AD/WCS seems like a pretty fuckin' solid keeper team.
I could swap Vuc for WCS but I'd be biting another $10. J-Rich has also been a game changer for two years in a row, but would cost the same as Vuc. Not sure if $48 for 8 players is too little to save.
Would you rather have a strong group of keepers or money flexibility for the next draft (along with promising cheap players)? Is there an average amount of money you'd aim to save for the next keeper auction?
