Can you help me understand why the auction values do not reflect the B150 ranks? Without giving anything away (not sure who has visibility to the forums) for example, the #1 player in the B150 (8-cat) is not the highest valued player on the auction list for 8-cat.
Also, adhering the Auction Values likely means being very patient in most drafts and missing out on most of the true studs... that being said, in your opinion is it wiser to overpay to lock in a stud and try and make up the value with the rest of your roster (there should be plenty of opportunities esp compared to ESPN AVs) or be patient and build a deep team anchored by mid-priced guys (12 TM H2H)
Good catch it doesn't line up with 9 cat b150 either.
As for paying up and locking up a stud I personally prefer to get value and leave the auction with as many guys in the 20-40 range as possible and depending on how everyone else is spending you can land close to 10 of these guys but I must advise if a few owners are doing this then it becomes much harder to land these players at value.
I'm with Ryan- wait for the other owners to blow their dough early and then I can clean up value later.
