Here are my drafted players in an 8-Team 9-Cat Roto League.
--PG/SG/SF/PF/C/Util/Bench/Bench--
I was wondering if I should pick Rubio up (he is still available)
Or I could wait for my bottom 3 players to earn some value and trade for a decent back-up PG.
#2 Curry
#15 Butler
#18 Draymond Green
#31 Otto Porter
#34 Millsap
#47 Capela
#50 Taurean Prince
#63 Gary Harris
i love your late picks. assist look a little low. If you get rubio who do you have to drop?
I'm pretty sure NOT Capela, lol.
Thanks for your opinion on the assists!
8-team is just too small. Best way to win a tiny league is to try to trade for as many 1st rounders as possible.
Literally just do anything you can to get another 1st rounder. Give up your 2nd and 3rd if you must. Because the wire is SO STUFFED with talent, the dropoff between anyone you trade away and the guy you pick up is almost negligible.
I agree with Dan here. Hoard the "big guns" of fantasy value then "fill in the blanks" with solid FAs.
Btw, your draft was pretty sweet!
WOw. Thanks for the tip!
That Quality over Quantity tip of yours sounds like a GREAT plan.
After the draft, I usually scour the waiver wire for value earning players (Jokic and Turner did me well last season).
I hope I can nab another 1st rounder... My opponents have been watchful of my moves because I've won the past 3 straight seasons (I say this humbly...and thanks to Bruski 150).
I agree 8-Team leagues are so shallow that the waiver wire always has good players (relatively).
And it is hard to catch waiver gems like Jokic and Turner last season.
Thanks for the compliments on my draft..I have been referring to the Bruski 150 even since it was still in Yahoo.
It really taught me how to see value of players especially for 9-Cat Roto.
Butler+Draymond offered for:
Antetokounmpo = rejected
KD = rejected
Towns = will get back to me
Would you trade for these other players?
A.Davis
CP3
Jokic
Harden
Kawhi
I could also wait till December- February before I make any offers
Either way, I hope I could push a good trade.
