Happy offseason everyone!
Offseason trading has opened up in one of my leagues. I'm always at the top of the league year after year, but haven't won a championship yet. My keepers are:
-Towns
-Davis
-Lillard
-Paul George
-Rudy Gobert
The one player on my team I don't plan on keeping is Draymond Green. Of these players, would you trade Paul George, or Rudy Gobert for some other guard, and if so, who is a good value target? I can take the hit of Paul George missing the first month, but is it really worth it if he's going to be load managed as well like crazy?
Also, preferably looking to move on from Gobert because owning those 3 bigs seems a little redundant!
Thoughts?
I think Gobert is probably the tradeable piece, and targeting a top tier PG is probably the move. Problem is that there may not be any that sit right nearby Rudy. Maybe Kyrie? Kemba, Jrue are a slight downgrade but are attainable...
Man, you have KAT, AD, and Lillard and haven't won a championship? How shallow is this league?
Thanks! I'll go for the PG in exchange for Gobert and hope it works out, maybe squeeze out a draft pick due to the downgrade.
Haha I took over the team 3 years ago when the keepers on the team were Paul George, Dwyane Wade, DeAndre Jordan, Lillard, and one other who i can't remember. Traded all my picks and danced and twirled my way into what I have now. This team is just very top heavy, and I rely on the waiver wire for the rest. That's why I'm trying to get the perfect balance.
This is the year you are going to win it! I love your base group! If it's me, I don't move any of those studs. I would just focus on filling in the complimentary pieces that will finally bring home that championship!
Trade both George and Gobert to make a play for Giannis.
I don't think there is any way you lose with these 5 lol, but if you wanted to make a move, I would try and move Gobert and something for Trae Young. I think he's going to be a top 10 player in 8 cat for the next decade. Gives you a pg and keeps you on top for the future.
