I was offered Karl Anthony-Towns for my John Collins and Otto Porter. Sure, I took a hit with my depth but I had to accept that, right??

Some available players on the wire for my open roster spot are DeAndre Hunter, Jarrett Culver, PJ Washington, Matisse Thybulle.

6 starting positions (PG/SG/SF/PF/C/U)
PG: Mike Conley, Lonzo Ball, Delon Wright(SG)
SG: Kyrie Irving(SG) , Gary Harris(SF), Nickeil Alexander-Walker
SF: Otto Porter (PF), Tauren Prince
PF: John Collins(C), Dario Saric
C: Nikola Jokic(PF), Jonas Valanciunas, Thomas Bryant, Wendell Carter Jr.

That's tough. Your center position is already really strong and that leaves your SF and PF slots really weak. However getting one of those top guys is solid and very hard to pass up.
I'd probably decline that trade but I am sure some will disagree with me.

TAKE IT.

1st rounders are SO valuable it's insane. This is a RACE to hit the accept button move in anything other than the deepest of leagues. KAT for a 3rd and 4th rounder? Yes please.

SMASH THE ACCEPT BUTTON! Natural tendency is to look at what you're giving up and overthink. In this case you're gaining a sure-fire first-rounder, AND not just a firt-rounder, but one of those treasured ELITE top 5. The value with those top 5 is so much higher than the rest that it's a no-brainer. This manager just offered you a chest of gold in exchange for some chocolate coins. Hit accept, smoke a cigar, grab a whiskey and laugh your way to the finish line!

As for your pick-up, I like P.J. Washington's outlook most of those you mentioned. Culver has upside, but his path isn't as clear, and he'll mostly be a points/triples guy. I'm not high on Hunter with the lack of diversity in his statset. After P.J., I lean Thybulle for those ridiculous defensive stats. If someone goes down in Philly, he's in line for some great defensive stats, and may be worth owning even if the team stays healthy.

Congratulations, sir.

PS: I just noticed that, with KAT, you would now have THREE likely first-rounders; KAT, Joker and Kyrie. Fantasy vets everywhere would kill for a top 3 like that.

I'd accept that immediately.

Also those guys you can pick up could all be very solid. I think Culver will be very Middleton-like if he gets the minutes, and I think he'll already start out with minutes in the mid-20s so his floor seems very solid for a rookie. It might take a little bit of time but I'm ALL in on him.

Thybulle's defensive stats are enticing too but I doubt they give him any run on the offensive end so he's more of a specialist.

If you haven't already hit that accept button, do so immediately. Too echo everyone above, KAT is a top 5 (probably top 3) talent. It would not surprise me if he ends up close to the top player this year. He does everything.
I also like the Taurean Prince pick in your SF spot. He is a big upside player and I think will be a big addition (on both sides of the ball) to the Nets. Good work on securing him.

In relation to the waiver wire, keep a keen eye on Washington (SF,PF on Yahoo). I like him. He has played well in the preseason. Borrego is high on him and Charlotte already looks like it has some depth problems at the 3 through to 5. It will be interesting to see how much he plays at the start of regular season but there is scope for him to see some minutes (depending on the health of Marvin Williams and Batum). Could be a sneaky flyer.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback! Loved reading everyone's insights on this trade and I did hit accept after some hesitation and over thinking. It was just too hard to pass up on KAT in my mind. Collins was my 3rd and Porter was my 5th round picks from the 10 spot. I actually somehow had Jokic fall to me at 10!

Regarding the Free Agents available, I'm just not sure on who to add cause I like them all. Would love to hear more insight on those players. Thank you again!

So now your 6 starting positions are (PG/SG/SF/PF/C/U)

PG: Mike Conley, Lonzo Ball, Delon Wright(SG)
SG: Kyrie Irving(SG) , Gary Harris(SF), Nickeil Alexander-Walker
SF: Tauren Prince
PF: Nikola Jokic (C), Dario Saric
C: Karl A-Towns, Jonas Valanciunas, Thomas Bryant, Wendell Carter Jr.

Grab one of those guys on the wire, sure. But i'd really be off hunting for another trade to get a SF for one of your centee depth. JV, TB, WCJr.
