Hey Hoop ballers. i posted here before about my 11 cat league. The extra categories are DD and TD. Draft is Monday the 16th so i'm finalizing my squad hopes and dreams now. I have a new Question i'm looking for advice on. We had a drop out and are rolling with 9 teams thus making us shallow and more picks to get. I'm 4th pick I'm still aiming for KAT as my 1st pick but i'm also really torn about getting him or Curry. This isn't the question though. I would really like to get Turner and Green. I pick 4th, 15th, 22nd. I know my competition well and there's a chance Turner isn't going to be there for me as my 3rd pick at 22. Should i be bold with my 2nd pick at 15 and grab Turner? [REDACTED] Is this crazy talk???

Had to remove your B150 ranks, but yes, go Turner before Dray.

Oh man. Sorry. Didn't realize that should not be posted. My bad. Thanks. I feel good about the Turner pick at 2nd. I can still come back at 22nd and grab a good guard after going BIG-BIG with the first 2 picks.

If available, I would personally choose Westbrook, Harden, or LeBron at 4th pick only because of the DD cat, and ESPECIALLY because of the TD cat. TDs are so rare, you'll likely not find it in abundance outside of those 3 players. Of course with those picks, I would reckon that pretty much means you can disregard/punt TOs/FG% (FT% if LeBron) at that point. In exchange, you're pretty much guaranteeing a win in both DD/TD every week.

For your 2nd pick, I would still be targeting DD/TD alongside the other 9 cats. Because of that, I think Draymond holds a higher value, as he can get some TDs too and DDs with 3 different categories, whereas Myles Turner will very likely not even get you 1 TD, and he'll be hard-pressed to be getting you DDs since he'll be limited to just PTs/REBs for DDs.

So because of this, I would choose Westbrook/Harden/LeBron at 4th, then aim for Draymond at 15, and if Turner is still there at 22, then sure. Good luck!

Great advice and if I could I really like Harden-Green 1-2 punch. I'm still liking KAT for the DD and strong %'s. Dray can bring it down some but stands a good chance bouncing back in FG% and he will TD a few times. Like you said it's rare and you can hold points in that category once you get a TD. I'm not aiming to chase the TD but if I could get someone to help compete then I'll do it. I'm really trying to not punt anything either. For the DD category I'm not trying to get Drummond, Jordan or Howard. To compete for DD I'm being very selective so I guess in theory I'm playing straight 9 cat mentality with a few perks in the DD, TD

Like did this just happen?! I feel like I would compete big time with this squad. I've been listening to the pod and Dan talked about being a Hoop Ball participant vs. others. It seemed to me that he was right. Goofy picks going left and right. Why is J.Parker someone's 5th pick? Stuff like that. Goofy!
