It was again another tough week around the NFL for injuries, especially to the wide receiver position. With the amount of notable injuries throughout the league we try to organize the report by position now instead of guaranteed to miss time vs situations to monitor.
Quarterback injury
Jayden Daniels – Commanders – Rib – Week to Week
Daniels got injured early in Sunday’s game against Carolina and did not return to the game. It’s a rib cartilage injury that is not considered serious but his status for Sunday’s game against the Bears and the guy picked ahead of him in Caleb Williams is now very much in doubt. Assuming that Daniels was drafted as a backup quarterback at the time your fantasy drafts occurred, it’s good to go to your second option or there could be someone available on the waiver wire.
Deshaun Watson – Browns – Achilles – Out for Season
Watson ruptured his achilles on a quarterback run attempt against the Bengals Sunday. The Browns have since confirmed that Watson ruptured his achilles and he is out for the year. Watson had very little, if any fantasy value to begin with and was only to be started if desperate, now he can be dropped from any roster.
Tua Tagovailoa – Dolphins – Concussion – Week to Week
The Dolphins star is now eligible to come off of short term injured reserve and it’s widely expected that he will play in Week 8 when the Dolphins host the Cardinals. If he is able to go, it immediately boosts the fantasy values of Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, however, the Cardinals defense has shown flashes of being great at times so he’s not an automatic start.
