• A storm in the eastern U.S. could complicate Monday’s games in Atlanta, Baltimore and New York. Raindrops will be fewer and father between on Tuesday and Wednesday but then a new storm system will bring rain to the Midwest late in the week. Luckily, it looks like this second system might impact just one of the late week series (San Diego at Kansas City).

The calendar flips to June this week. That means hitter-friendly warm air will become more common in many parts of the U.S.  It also means there will be a bigger discrepancy between the warmer ballparks in most of the country – and the much chillier ones on the west coast. Series played in Seattle, San Diego and San Francisco will be some of this week’s coolest games, so try to avoid them if possible.

Side note: June 1 is the start of hurricane season. I hope those living on/near the Gulf Coast or East Coast have a plan in case a tropical system approaches you this year. This is especially important because forecasters expect the 2024 hurricane season to be busier than average.
