Get ready for some drawn-out action in Week 7. This weekend begins early with another game in London and ends late with two Monday Night Football games, one of which starts at 10pm EDT. A storm moving through the Great Lakes will bring strong wind gusts to Chicago and Cleveland with weaker yet noticeable winds expected in Nashville for the Mike Vrabel Revenge Game.
This weekly SportsEthos NFL weather report shows the weather forecast for each outdoor game. We will look for weather conditions that may help – or hinder – your fantasy players. We’ll also highlight games where weather forecasts may help us with Over/Under betting decisions.
The forecasts for each game are immediately below. If you’re interested in how various types of weather impact scoring of skill position players, check out the list at the bottom of this article.
NOTE: This report does not include games that are played in domes or retractable roof stadiums that are expected to have a closed roof.
WEEK 7 SCHEDULE
Sunday, October 19
LA Rams vs Jacksonville Jaguars in London (9:30am EDT)
Weather: Cloudy with a 70% chance of light rain. Temperature near 59 degrees with south winds 5-10 mph.
Impacts: Minimal.
New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears (1pm EDT)
Weather: Rain ending by game time then windy with decreasing clouds. Temps near 53 degrees with northwest winds 20-30 mph.
Impacts: MODERATE. Rain is a non-factor but gusty cross winds will impact the kicking game and the passing game somewhat.
Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns (1pm EDT)
Weather: Windy with off-and-on rain. Temps near 68 degrees. Southwest winds 20-35 mph.
Impacts: MODERATE. This is an endzone-to-endzone wind that will aid some kicking attempts while strongly hindering others. The combination of rain and winds will also hinder the passing game.
