STUDS
1. Zay Flowers
Zay Flowers is perhaps the most interesting player affected by NFL trades in fantasy, with the Ravens adding Dionate Johnson. While most people are worried about the value of both of these receivers, we at studs and duds feel very confident about both moving forward. The reality is Zay Flowers is getting a ton of targets every week while that will drop somewhat with Johnson in the mix it’s clear that Lamar Jackson has complete trust in him. The case scenario for both Flowers and Johnson is something similar to what occurred on Halloween night with the production of both Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams, with both receivers producing at a high fantasy level while that may seem like a pipe dream at first for the Ravens this offense is consistently one of the best fantasy football has to offer that should give managers of both Flowers and Johnson a lot of confidence.
2. Mike Williams
Mike Williams felt like an unnatural fit from the get-go for the New York Jets, a guy who’s often injured playing on MetLife turf and whose deep-threat skill set is underutilized with an aging Aaron Rodgers. Now he goes to Pittsburgh and joins Russell Wilson and the Steelers. With Russell Wilson under Center, this team continuously focuses on going deep, which fits Mike Williams and George Pickens perfectly. Pickens will still be the number one receiver, but Mike Williams has a fantasy skill set that is perfect for a flex spot with WR2 upside in this offense.
3. Chase Brown
Chase Brown had to do everything last week for the Bengals in their victory over the Raiders. With Zack Moss out for the year with a neck injury, the Bengals stepped up and brought in Khalil Herbert, whose role was diminishing rapidly in Chicago with the Bears. The thing is, Chase Brown is still a clear RB1, regardless of Herbert, and has a fantastic fantasy skill set. Still, the thing is, we’ve learned with the Ravens management of Derrick Henry and the Eagles management of Saquon Barkley that the kind of workload Chase Brown did last week is unrealistic for health reasons and longevity. Herbert’s add helps Chase Brown significantly in this department, and Khalil Herbert becomes a fantastic handcuff option if Brown has an unfortunate injury at some point this season.
DUDS
1. The Dallas Cowboys Offense
This offense is simply one of the worst from a fantasy perspective. Let’s go position by position: Dak Prescott has not been very good this year, and Cooper Rush doesn’t make it any better; Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliott, and Dalvin Cook is such a bizarre three-running back tandem that it’s not even worth considering in fantasy, for the receiving core CeeDee Lamb will be fine under Rush, Jalen Tolbert is just a touchdown-dependent option, and the newly acquired Jonathan Mingo is more of a developmental long-term option for the cowboys that is only worth keeping an eye on in dynasty leagues for future uses in the next few years, and considering how bad the tight end position is overall in fantasy Jake Ferguson is more than okay to have. Overall, the only guys worth considering in this offense the rest of the season are CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson. Everyone else is just an afterthought.
2. The Waiver Wire
We’re at the point where the waiver wire will only really provide injury replacements. It’s just where we are in Week 10 and beyond. If you want to win a fantasy championship, it’s best to be confident in your roster and make trades before your individual league trade deadline ends if you are not confident. The waiver wire in most competitive leagues won’t provide enough value moving forward to make significant roster changes other than injuries. So be confident in your roster and get to the playoffs!!
