• At this time of the season, fantasy managers are looking for players who are swinging a hot bat. Today I will look at a trio of players who have combined both power and average over the last three weeks.

    JJ Bleday – OF – OAK – 45% CBS, 21% Yahoo

Bleday has been streaky this season but is on a hot streak right now. Over the last three weeks the left-handed hitting outfielder has a slash line of .358/.443/.585 with three home runs, nine RBIs and 11 runs in 53 at bats. Since going hitless on July 27, he has hit in 13-of-16 games with four multi-hit games. For the season he is hitting .247 with 15 homers, 45 RBIs and 57 runs scored. Bleday is batting third nearly every day in the A’s lineup. Bleday should be a consideration in 12-team leagues and should be in the starting lineup for fantasy managers playing in leagues of 14 teams or more.
