Sheriff Tiraspol vs Shakhtar Donetsk

There are definitely more entertaining matchups on this Champions League Wednesday match day but this is one that peaked my interest. This will be Sheriff’s first ever appearance in the main draw of the Champions League and they will face a much more experienced opponent in Shakhtar Donetsk from Ukraine. The Ukrainian giants have made a strong start to their domestic campaign with five wins and a draw from their first seven matches in the Ukrainian Premier League. I believe that Sheriff will struggle to deal with the pressure of the occasion and the more skilled team will prevail. Shakhtar knows that they can not take their opponent lightly if they want to walk away with all three points and I believe that is going to be the result. My play is Shakhtar Donetsk -110
