Gonzaga start the season ranked #1 and steam rolled Dixie Stare 97-63 in their opening game. While the completion wasn’t great, they showed they may be the deepest and best scoring round team in the country. Texas comes in ranked #12 and will be a strong defensive team under new coach Chris Beard. They also rolled in a 92-48 win over Houston Baptist. It’s hard to take anything from either teams opening game however, I think the Zags are just too dominant a team for Texas to keep this game close, plus a home court advantage in Spokane puts me on Gonzaga in what should be a high scoring affair.
