The Golden State Warriors will host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday evening. This will be the second game of a 4 game Western trip for the Hawks. The Hawks are 0-6 ATS and 1-5 straight up on the road so far this season. The Warriors are one of the hottest teams in the NBA and will play their sixth straight game at home. The Warriors have won four games in a row and a lot of their success has come because of their defense. The Warriors rank 2nd in points allowed, 3rd in field goals allowed, 2nd in opponent FG%, and 3rd in opponent 3pt%. The Hawks defense has taken a big step back from the end of last season as they rank 23rd in points allowed per game. If the Hawks defense does not come to play this could get ugly. The Warriors are playing their second game of a back-to-back however Steph Curry only played 26 minutes last night and Draymond Green only played 22. The Hawks beat the Warriors in both matchups last season so the Warriors should be motivated to show who the better team really is. Don’t think Steph Curry doesn’t hear all the comparisons people make between himself and Trae Young. I expect Curry to have a big game at home.
