• He’s on a heater baby! He’s hit 3 underdogs in a row, can he get 4?

HOW DID THEY KNOW I WAS GOING WITH ANOTHER UNDERDOG? Once again this is a HALF play.

Denver Nuggets +3.5: You guys might be beginning to see a trend with my plays on this Free Play 3-game heater… fade favorites in bad spots. The Bulls, friends, are in a bad spot off a fantastic late-game win over the Brooklyn Nets. There’s a built-in desire to assume that big wins can build momentum, but they can often have the opposite effect as a draining effort. The Nuggets have actually had a little extra time off after winning their Saturday morning game in New York, though I’m not sure that matters a ton. I just rather like the Nuggets when they’re defending a bit, and Nikola Jokic is going to pick the Bulls apart, so I see almost no way that Chicago can push out in front by more than a few possessions. I really wish we could have nabbed this at the opening number of 5 because I do think that extra (almost) bucket could be the difference between a win and a loss ATS, but I still like the Nuggets to take this down to the wire and Jokic vs. LaVine or DeRozan in late-game shots has all the makings of a quietly great game that ends with the final shot. Nuggets to cover in a close one and maybe even steal it straight up late.
