Check back every week as we rank the RBs ahead of their potential matchups. The position is as deep as ever, and you will want to know who start and who to bench based on matchup’s, projections and sometimes just gut feel.
RK PLAYER NAME TEAM OPP Blrub 1 Derrick Henry BAL TB The question isn't will he score one TD, it's he will rumble for two. He's close to 100 yards a game and he only gets better as the season goes. He's the RB1 until proven otherwise. 2 Saquon Barkley PHI NYG Had a rare off game and will be back with a vengeance in a revenge game. The Eagles are finally healthy and about to go on a roll. Giants are sneaky good defense, but mostly pressuring the QB, 3 Bijan Robinson ATL SEA SEA giving up 5 YPC and it's about to get worse as ATL will continue to lean on two-man ground and pound. This could be takeoff point for Bijan. 4 Tony Pollard TEN BUF Bills giving up 5.3 YPC and the Titans aren't going to throw if they don't have to. Pollard is back to being a bellcow and should smash as long as the game script doesn't go awry. 5 J.K Dobbins LAC ARI ARI has given up third-most rushing yards at 918 Dobbins looks healthy and primed to break a big one even though longest rush ARI has given up is 34 yards on the season. 6 Kenneth Walker SEA ATL ATL has been decent vs. the run, but the SEA offense has been too unbalanced as of late. Look for them to get back to basics and lean on Walker this week. 7 Kyren Williams LAR LV LV giving up 5 YPC and LAR will be fresh off the bye. If Cooper Kupp returns, it might take a little shine off Williams, but he's been very reliable this season as the RB4 in scoring. 8 Josh Jacobs GB HOU Was on his way to a monster game, but didn't play in the fourth quarter. The one TD on the season is an anomaly and HOU has only allowed four TDs all season to RBs. 9 Joe Mixon HOU GB Mixon is back and with Nico Collins hurt, the Texans want to run the ball and keep pressure off CJ Stroud. Dameon Pierce looked good in his debut, but he's not a real threat to carries. 10 Chuba Hubbard CAR WAS WAS allowing 5 YPC and this game should be high-scoring, but the fear is CAR falls behind and has to throw. Good news is Hubbard has at least four targets in every game and Jonathan Brooks isn't back yet. 11 Alvin Kamara NO DEN Beware the TNF RB curse. RBs never play well on these short weeks and this is a brutal matchup for Kamara. He's still a must-start, but the ceiling is capped. 12 De'Von Achane MIA IND Hopefully he has recovered from his concussion because this is the ultimate smash spot. Colts has given up the most rushing yards in the league at 931 and MIA is going to put the pedal to the floor. 13 David Montgomery DET MIN MIN has allowed league-low 93 rushing attempts at 3.6 YPC which is 24 attempts fewer than the next team. A lot of this is game-script and DET will still run the ball, but this is worst matchup of the season for DET. 14 Jahmyr Gibbs DET MIN Same, same. MIN has only allowed one TD to RBs all season which is incredible. 15 Brian Robinson Jr. WAS CAR Super duper max smash….as long as Robinson is healthy. CAR has allowed 12 TDs to RBs and second-most yards at 921. 16 James Cook BUF TEN Cook looked expendable vs. the Jets and hopefully he's not going have to timeshare with Ray Davis. Cook is still an RB1, but TEN is very solid vs. the run at 4 YPC and only three TDs. 17 Najee Harris PIT NYJ The Jets continue to get worked on the ground and Harris is the clear RB1 in PIT. New starting QB Russell Wilson will probably involve Harris more in the passing game as Harris only has four targets in last two games. 18 James Connor ARI LAC LAC only has given up 486 rushing yards on the season and ARI keeps falling behind in games. Connor was scripted out of last week, but hopefully can do some damage vs LAC. Bad matchup vs. a def that has only allowed two RB TDs. 19 Jordan Mason SF KC The shoulder strain isn't great and risk of re-injury is high. KC is great vs. WRs, so expect SF to lean on Mason as long as he is good to go. CMC is coming back so they may as well run Mason into the ground. 20 Tank Bigsby JAC NE Bigsby averaging 7.2 YPC and even though Travis Etienne has limited practice, he should sit out. Bigsby might blow up this game. Impossible not to start him this week. 21 Breece Hall NYJ PIT This seems low considering what he just did to the Bills, but Davante Adams will take plenty of targets and PIT has allowed two TDs and only one rush of 20+yards to RBs. 22 Kareem Hunt KC SF How long can Hunt keep this up. Niners rush d isn't what it has been in years past and Clyde Edwards-Helaire might be back sooner, rather than later. 23 Tyrone Tracy Jr. NYG PHI Tracy went from 7.2 YPC to 2.9 and PHI has been decent vs. the run after getting gashed early in the season. If Giants can hang around, this could be a decent spot, but blowout potential looms. 24 Ty Chandler MIN DET Aaron Jones is hurt, but is trying to play, but the IR is more likely. Chandler is sneaky good, but not this week vs. a DET team that has only allowed 416 rush yards, top-three in the NFL. 25 Bucky Irving TB BAL The Irving tour is making all stops, but this might be one you want to skip. Rachaad White isn't healthy and while Sean Tucker looked amazing, it's still Irving's job to lose, but BAL best in NFL at only 3 YPC. 26 Austin Ekeler WAS CAR Ekeler wasn't effective vs. BAL which isn't shock, but this matchup is night-and-day and Ekeler is very, very hard to leave on the bench this week. 27 Raheem Mostert MIA IND He had 22 carries with Achane out, but the bye week cures all. Likely timeshare incoming, but MIA wants to run more than they every have without Tua Tagovailoa, so both can eat in this ideal matchup. Near must-start. 28 Tyler Allgeier ATL SEA He's getting plenty of work and fresh off 18 carries in Week 6. SEA isn't as bad as CAR defending the rush, but they are close. Allgeier should get 10+ carries and possibly a TD. 29 Nick Chubb CLE CIN Choo Choo. This is the lowest he will be all season if he looks remotely fast. The Browns need him more than anything and this is a great matchup. CIN is bottom-four vs. the run, but this is just cautionary. He could be top-10 next week. Start him if you need a jolt. 30 Rhamondre Stevenson NE JAC He's not practicing otherwise he would be higher. Tough matchup and will get limited work even if he plays. Keep him on the bench one more week. 31 Chase Brown CIN CLE He scored last week and looked fast and strong. CLE vulnerable vs. the run, but he's still only getting 10-12 carries a game plus three targets. Tough to explode with that workload. 32 Zach Moss CIN CLE Moss is fading and Brown has likely overtaken him, but we need to see it first. Would not start Moss this week. 33 Justice Hill BAL TB His floor is non-existent with Henry running wild and he's more of a stash than anything right now. 34 Zach Charbonnet SEA ATL I expect SEA to get back to running it, but Walker is the clear RB1 and is being used in passing game as well. 35 Antonio Gibson NE JAC He got the start, but did very little and might be better suited to situational running. Decent play if Stevenson is out again. 36 Javonte Williams DEN NO Never play RBs on short week and certainly not bad ones, though NO did just give up 50 points to TB, don't expect a repeat performance. 37 Alexander Mattison LV LAR He should probably higher with LAR giving up 4.8 YPC, but game-script could be a problem and Raiders might be tanking. 38 Jonathan Taylor IND MIA This again isn't right if he plays, but what can you do. Smash if he plays even if he's hurt, but for now, kid gloves. 39 Ray Davis BUF TEN He might be ready to cook, but Cook it the RB1 until we are told otherwise. He has probably earned some carries, but a lot of people have to eat before Davis. 40 Trey Sermon IND MIA He's not good even if Taylor plays. Desperate play at best. Click here to join us on Discord!
