Valanciunas was a letdown on the offensive end with a 4-for-14 shooting line, but he made up for it with his work on the glass. That's a new career-best in boards for Big Science. Memphis' injuries guarantee JV extra minutes, and he was already a top-60 guy in a modest 25.8 mpg before this added opportunity appeared before him. A big finish could, and should, be on the way.
