Josh RichardsonSF, Dallas MavericksThe Mavericks have officially acquired Josh Richardson from the Sixers.
In one of the faster-finalized moves from draft night, Richardson heads to Dallas after a frustrating season in Philly. He turned 30.8 mpg into 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.5 threes on 42.9 percent shooting from the field, with the points, steals, assists and threes down form his previous marks by comfortable margins. He also battled numerous injuries and never seemed to mesh with a funky Sixers roster. A move to Dallas should be a breath of fresh air and Richardson could be in for a more important role given how the Mavs struggled with perimeter defense last season. His biggest competition for minutes looks to be Tim Hardaway Jr. but Richardson's defense might give him the edge in the battle for the starting spot. As always, Richardson's stat set gives him big upside, so a bounce-back season wouldn't be a shocking outcome by any stretch.
