Team, New Orleans Pelicans

Coach Alvin Gentry said that Zion Williamson (right knee rehab) participated in practice on Thursday, but he won't join the Pelicans in their upcoming road trip.

It was only a light practice, but Williamson is nearing his long awaited return. It won't come during the team's next road trip but we should expect a return sometime in January, allaying concerns that he would sit out the entire season. Upon his return, you should expect Brandon Ingram to take a bit of a hit across the board while there will be a minutes crunch coming to the entire Pelicans' front court. Zion has the ability to post early round numbers from the get-go, but expect him to be on a firm minutes restriction starting out. Congratulations if you held him this long.
