Zach CollinsC, Portland Trail BlazersAdrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Zach Collins will undergo season-ending left ankle surgery to repair a medial malleolus stress fracture.
An MRI taken on Wednesday revealed that Collins is suffering from a malleolar stress reaction in his left ankle, but the diagnosis has worsened. Between this and a left shoulder dislocation, Collins will wrap up an ugly season that was defined by health problems rather than growth as a player. Wenyen Gabriel will likely keep starting in Collins' place for the duration of Portland's playoff run.
