Welcome to my post-2025 NBA draft rookie dynasty rankings! This year’s draft class presents some fun options towards the top, capped off with a projected fantasy stud in Cooper Flagg. Don’t overthink it with Flagg; he is already a positive fantasy player and will soon approach top-10 in redraft leagues. Dylan Haprer right below him is no slouch and would be the clear number one pick in most draft classes.
After those two, there is a bit of a drop-off. However, you could argue there is a good amount of depth in the lottery range, as most if not all of my top-16 rookies will show up in the top-150 when I update my overall dynasty rankings in the upcoming month. There will be value to be had in the lottery range of your rookie draft, so do not feel pressured to reach up for your selection. Some of the landing spots weren’t ideal for year-one production, but these are rookies! Show patience – we do not draft rookies for year-one production but instead for what their realistic 75% outcomes could look like in terms of fantasy production.
The number of prospects who pulled out late in the draft process severely hurt the second-round of this draft. Once you get past my top-40 rookies, I do not think many of those subsequent rookies will be showing up in my top-350 overall dynasty rankings. The draft class quickly gets thin on either projected playing time or projected fantasy projection, and there aren’t even too many stashes for upside shots. If you have a draft selection in the latter ranges of your rookie draft, I would try to cycle those picks for future assets or for players who have shown a little something today for fantasy like a Jabari Walker or a Craig Porter Jr.
As a reminder, whenever I do my rankings I tier players together. Players in the same tier are relatively closer to each other than those in different tiers. I didn’t get as granular in my rookie tiers, so don’t be surprised if there is further stratification when I present my overall dynasty rankings latter in the summer. And yes, I stretched it out from a top-60 to a top-70 this year!
