Russell WestbrookPG, Houston RocketsRussell Westbrook exploded for 41 points, eight boards, five assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in Thursday's win against the Lakers.
He went 17-for-28 from the floor and 6-for-8 at the line. Westbrook got off to a shaky start, but once the Rockets started to slide in their optimal lineups with Robert Covington, all hell broke loose. The Rockets traded Clint Capela for Covington with the idea that Westbrook would work better in space and tonight was their optimal vision. Teams are consistently doubling James Harden which meant Westbrook would work 4-on-4 but with Capela it would clog the paint. Now that Covington is there to space things out, Westbrook has all the room to operate and he's doing massive damage. Expect big things from the Brodie here on out.
