• J.J. Barea
    PG, Dallas Mavericks

JJ Barea produced 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and two 3-pointers in Sunday's scrimmage outing.

Barea was the best of the Mavs' backup guards in this one as the battle wages on to see who will pick up Jalen Brunson's minutes. Seth Curry looks locked in as the starting shooting guard, leaving Delon Wright as Barea's main competition. Wright outplayed Barea in this one (25 minutes to 23) but only stamped the box score with six points, five assists and two steals. Wright is definitely the higher-upside player of the two, but whoever gets the lion's share has a chance at late-round value — Wright for assists and defense and Barea as a straight dimes specialist.
