Fred VanVleet (left shoulder) has been suddenly ruled out for Friday's contest against the Hornets.

This one we did not see coming. With VanVleet out the Raptors will turn towards Terence Davis to play alongside Kyle Lowry. Davis has been playing well lately, and should be in for a solid night of work for a thin Raptors squad. Norman Powell is also probable on Friday, although it's unclear how big of a role he is ready for. The severity of FVV's injury is unknown, so be sure to check back for a proper diagnosis.
