Dion WaitersSG, Los Angeles LakersDion Waiters was a prominent player off the Lakers' bench on Thursday, getting 21 minutes and spinning 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, a block and a 3-pointer.
Waiters was also a plus-17 and hit a few tough shots in the second half. While he's most definitely an imperfect player, Waiters' ability to hit those contested looks is a necessary element for a Lakers squad that lacks offensive flair beyond its two superstars. While Waiters is unlikely to hold fantasy appeal, the fact that he can create his own looks is a big deal for the team's second unit.
