• Fred VanVleet
    PG, Toronto Raptors

Fred VanVleet was terrific in the 2019-20 fantasy season, posting top-30/25 (8/9-cat value) with averages of 17.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.9 steals, 0.3 blocks and 2.7 triples per game.

All of those are career-highs besides blocks. VanVleet was always the leader of Toronto's second unit but he started each of his 48 games this season, taking the place of the departed Danny Green. Despite being undersized, VanVleet's smarts and toughness allow him to defend against larger players and get to the rim with acrobatic finishes on the other end of the floor. VanVleet's previous career-high was 0.9 steals, so while that might be in line for a little correction there's nothing else in his profile that looks out of whack. VanVleet is set to hit free agency this summer and could land somewhere that offers him a starting PG job, but it's not like his co-lead guard work has hurt his fantasy output at all.
