@dballbball thank you so much for your review! Very much appreciated.
Continuing your line, your small forward options are not available in the FA besides Barton, so him would be my only option based on your recommendation. Another candidates that are available are Hunter, Kuminga and Hachimura. And if I were to add an other C, Boucher and Olynik are also available.
so let’s see what I end up doing and if I am able to get some trade too. Thanks again!

@wilboblaggins That’s an intriguing league setup.
Strengths: AST, PTS (*), REB
Weaknesses: BLK
Mid: STL, TO
Players that are good at your strengths: Ball, Booker, Collins, DeRozan, Hayward, Herro, LeVert, McCollum, Porter, Randle and Siakam
Players that are bad at your strengths: Clarke, Eason, Williams and Zubac
Players that are good at your weaknesses: Clarke, Collins, Eason, Williams and Zubac
Your team should be solid with counting stats this year. With the extra value placed on AST and REB, I think you’ve positioned yourself well to take advantage. The penalty for TO looms with such a high-usage squad, but I’d estimate that you’re looking at about a 2-to-1 AST/TO ratio. That should compensate for any losses in TO, while your later draft picks all seem likely to be positives there.
As your only true needle-mover in BLK, Williams will certainly be a boost for your team when active. However, he is one of no more than five players that will give any real value there. While I do think he has appeal for potential BLK and STL production, Eason’s regular season output is far from assured. He certainly won’t be an asset in AST or PTS, so pay extra close attention to his defensive output and be prepared to cut ties if needed.
If you’re looking for expendable players, then I think you should focus on the fairly uniform list of “bad at strengths/good at weaknesses.” Williams may be the exception, depending on your tolerance for risk with his recurring ailments. However, none of the other players are so productive in any one category to outweigh their drawbacks in several others. With your league counting one-third the categories of a standard league, the lost value in those categories is amplified.
Draymond Green and Kyle Kuzma seem like ideal targets for trades in your league, while I’d consider making moves for potential free agents like Bruce Brown, Darius Bazley, Kyle Anderson, Mason Plumlee, Patrick Beverley and Steven Adams.

@andy Jokic at pick #2! You must have been excited.
Strengths: BLK, REB (*), STL (*), TO
Weaknesses: PTS
Mid: AST, FG%, FT%, 3PT
Players that are good at your strengths: Allen, Clarke, Horford, Jackson, Jokic, Washington and Zubac
Players that are bad at your strengths: Edwards and Powell
Players that are good at your weaknesses: Anunoby, Edwards, Jokic, Murray and Powell
This is a fun team. I have some concerns about Conley, but he’s a perfectly reasonable pick if he is going to be active. Therein lies my doubt: do the Jazz see him as part of their future, or vice-versa? I worry that his massive contract will cause the Jazz and Conley’s team to agree to be more conservative with his deployment to protect him as a trade asset. Otherwise, I’m a huge fan of Conley and genuinely optimistic about his chances to make a fantasy impact at an advanced age so long as he is playing.
PTS is a wash for this squad. Edwards and Jokic will only be able to do so much to keep that category competitive with several other players dragging you in the other direction. While their impact is softened on your team, I still do like most of your plus-scorers. Out of a group that includes Anunoby, Edwards, Jokic, Murray, Powell and Rozier, the only player that I think is out of place is Powell. The others are considerable positives in other areas and worth maintaining on your roster. Kick the tires on a Powell trade if you think there’s a chance to move him, because he’s really only helping you in FT%, TO and 3PT, and not necessarily enough to carry his value on your team. Find the manager(s) that drafted players like Collin Sexton and RJ Barrett and start there. I’d bet they value late-round scorers and will be willing to send back some of your better categories.
Even though you have great players like Allen and Jokic to carry your FG%, there are a lot of high-volume, sub-par shooters on your team that should pull enough in the opposite direction to put you in the middle of the pack there. Your chances here are impacted by notable scorers like Anunoby, Edwards and Rozier, but also by Conley’s below average results from the field. You're solid at the top for FT%, but none of your players are far beyond average, so you're vulnerable to bad shooting weeks. It's a thoroughly average category at present.
I’m convinced you’ll be very competitive in REB and STL all season long. Aside from the simple advantage of being a titan in two categories, I think the two your team is relatively injury-proof. STL is one of the easiest categories to address on the waiver wire along with 3PT, which could bring you closer to converting that category to a strength. REB is more difficult to replace, but specialists like Andre Drummond and Hassan Whiteside (free agent) appeared on many waiver wires last year. The fortunate thing is that when a big man is forced to sit out, there is usually a logical in-house substitute that may not replace all of their production, but enough to be worthwhile as a streamer.
Without knowing who’s available in your league, I’ll simply that that players like Mason Plumlee, Steven Adams, Patrick Beverley, Robert Covington, Andre Drummond, De’Anthony Melton, Malik Beasley, Evan Fournier, Darius Bazley, Matisse Thybulle, Spencer Dinwiddie and Ricky Rubio could all be effective fits with your team.
@kennycruz6-kc My pleasure.
I like Barton a lot more than the other forwards you listed there. I'd also take both of your center options before those small forwards, with Boucher ahead of Olynyk. Maybe Hunter, but I'm not sure if it's worth it to roster the others.
Good luck!
Hi managers,
This is the official Rate My Team thread for the 2022-2023 NBA season. My name is Derek (Twitter @dballbball) and I'll be your host for the year.
Drop your team in this thread and I'll let you know where you're strong or weak, and what you can tweak. Text or photo is fine.
For best results, please give me some extra context. That could include categories, league size, league type, roster size, or any other settings that could change a player or team's valuation. Otherwise, my default answer will be for 12-team, 9-category leagues in a head-to-head format.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you this season!

I suspect most in this league had never done a salary cap before judging by the way money was spent early on. I managed to get Lillard at a reasonable price, and then bashed the middle rounds when most others were cash poor. I'm a bit concerned I might have taken on a bit too much injury risk?
Thanks for taking a look and your feedback! 🙂
