Hey Dan et al - love your work and podcast. Keen on your thoughts (we have our draft tonight unfortunately before the Bru150) for pick 6 in a 10 team 9 cat roto league. I'm leaning Tatum for durability over Harden/Curry/Haliburton and then will try for a PG in the 2nd round. Cheers
@nickf42 I think I'd actually lean Steph/Harden there. Tatum likely doesn't make that super-leap unless his FG% jumps, but Steph is basically like a top-8 at worst per-game guy, and then Harden has bounce-back written all over him.
Hey guys. I'm picking sixth overall in a 12 team H2H re-draft league that allows a maximum of five keepers from season-to-season. My first four roster spots are locked: Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Bam Adebayo and Evan Mobley. I can choose to keep an extra player or pick earlier in our draft. My remaining keeper options are Brandon Ingram, John Collins and Terry Rozier. What are your thoughts?
@dballbball Who are the first guys typically on the board? I'm guessing with 5 keepers per team at no penalty, the picks start around an expected value of top-60 range? If that's the case I probably keep Rozier, but hard to say without knowing the board.
@dbesbris Exactly that. By ADP, the top options are Jaylen Brown, Robert Williams, Khris Middleton, CJ McCollum, Jonas Valanciunas, Desmond Bane, Josh Giddey, the rookies and my guys. I was leaning towards Rozier initially, but I'm reacting to the other keepers (several teams keeping five elite guards) and wondering if it might be better to lean into positional scarcity at center with Collins and his consistent top-50 finishes. Rozier has been my secret weapon for years, so I see the appeal there. There are at least three teams that will pick before me even if I don't keep the max of five players, so my choices aren't unlimited.
I'm the 9th pick in a 9cat H2H 12t league. I'm thinking of taking Hali @ 9 if Harden, Tatum aren't on the board. I'm between Booker, Murray with my second... assuming more than one of them are on the board. Thoughts on who's a better fit?
@crebuck2308 You probably go Booker to balance with Hali's lower PPG out put, though in a vacuum I probably lean Murray if you're not considering a pairing.
Slow draft. 12 team h2h 9 cat. Punt assists.
Round 9
Isaiah Jackson, Capela, Okongu
Having trouble deciding. Thanks
@william-weyher Dang that is a tough one. I might lean Capela for starting job even if his upside is lowest among them. Also seems least likely he'll be around on your next pick.
Thanks Dan. Good point. Clint is at the top of the rank board.
I’ve got 1st pick in my 12 team h2h draft. The draft is snake so I’m picking jokic but have no idea what I’m going to do for picks 2 and 3. Right now, I have the choice of guys like FVV, butler, kawhi, gobert, cp3, Beal, etc. I’m tempted to go kawhi and butler or Beal and then to grab draymond as me second centre later on (maybe on the 6th/7th round). Would you recommend taking others?
