Is it worth dropping Mathurin for the stream?

I am currently in a battle to win this week and it’s coming down to blocks. Any opinions on if I should drop Mathurin to be able to pick up someone like Isaiah Jackson? Mathurin is pretty much my worse guy. Just wondering if Mathurin will be worth keeping in the long run, he had a good start but is trending down. I never know with Carlisle’s rotations

Try to hold if you can, though he will have some pretty big bumps along the way. He is a rookie after all

@dbesbris That’s what I’m thinking. I believe he would be picked up almost immediately. So I think I’ll hold for now.

@fantasyhooper That's always a great way to think about it - will this guy be scooped up if I drop them? And yep, I think you're right.

Who else is at the end of your bench that could be turned into a streaming slot?

@slickrock This is my team (9 Cat, 12 Team)

  • Rozier
  • Jalen Green
  • Tatum
  • Turner
  • B Lopez
  • Davis
  • Porzingis
  • Buddy Hield
  • Mathurin
  • Markkanen
  • Hayward
  • A. Simons
  • Bol Bol (was a stream but has been great value)
  • JJJ (IR)

I'm not sure if I have anyone that I can afford to drop. Do I need to make a 2-for-1 trade to open up a streaming spot?

@fantasyhooper love the 2-for-1 trade. If you can get anyone to bite, it’s a great way to open a new streaming slot.

This didn't age well. I HOPE I'm late to the party. But very real chance Mathurin is the second best player for Indy. I love his confidence and tenacity. He doesn't think Lebron is better than him until he gets to see it first-hand. He's a great back-end scorer and has amazing upside for a tanking INDY team. HOLD TIGHT.

@capt-caineghis Haha, it didn't age too well, you are right. Good thing I never was too close to ever dropping him. I just wanted to see what others thought of him in terms of a fantasy perspective. I love streaming guys in, and right now my team doesn't really have room for that right now. So I am eventually going to try and open up a spot. I am definitely holding tight!
