I've got Jalen Smith in my 12 Team, 11 Cat (DD & A/TO counted) dynasty league. I didn't draft well in terms of young prospects but Eason, Kessler and Duren are all on the waiver wire. I know Dan said to hold J Smith on twitter last night, is he still my best option compared to those three both ROS and in a dynasty format?
For dynasty it's a bit different because you're looking 2-3 years down the line and who could be a top-50 or better per-game guy. I think to that end I might prefer Eason or Duren, but I'll ping Rhett for thoughts here too.
Dan nailed it. I would rather have Duren than Jalen in a heartbeat, and I actually probably prefer Eason to Jalen as well...but I might be too close to Jalen having watched him a ton as a Pacers fan, while I thought Eason was vastly underrated as a prospect coming out of the draft and have propped him up quite a bit
Thanks guys! It's the first year for our league so everyone was reaching early for all the young guns and I wasn't prepared for it! Factors included: Duren getting "Casey'd" quite a bit plus who knows what happens when Bagley is back. Eason getting the Sengun treatment from last year. I'm good on blocks (I've got BroLo) so Kessler is at the bottom of my list. Maybe I just grab Poku for now and give it another week to see how things settle
@jeanloveseat Eason’s skill set is fantasy gold once they let him loose. Duren will have holes in in his fantasy game (FT%) but also younger and a great prospect.
