Hi guys,

Just looking for some opinions/thoughts on things I should have in mind when assessing this potential trade. I own Embiid......context is that I inherited a roster in a 12 team, 9 cat dynasty league at the start of this season. The roster was clearly not ready to compete in the short term so I have embarked on a rebuild targeting players under 25 with the view of developing a strong core of young players with upside that will be hitting their peaks at a similar time. Therefore, I'm looking to trade Embiid for someone that better fits this timeline so long as I can get full value in return - certainly not looking to trade him for the sake of it and if I can't get value then I'm fine holding him and having him on the roster as he should still be a bit of a beast in a couple of years when my team is closer to contention (although I must admit that his niggles and maintenance days do concern me a bit for dynasty, especially as he continues to get older). I don't have a specific build in mind. I figured best to just accumulate value for now and then can make decisions on build/strategy when closer to contention.

With this in mind would you trade Embiid for:

a) Trae

b) ANT

c) either of these guys (if so.....preference?)

Cheers

Davo

I'm not a huge dynasty guy but I'd expect more than either of those guys 1-for-1. Embiid is a top-3 guy when healthy and I don't think Trae or Ant ever gets anywhere near that, regardless of the age situation.

Cheers for the insight Dan. Very much appreciated and I def see what you’re saying there.

The latest dynasty rankings on the site have both Trae & Ant in the top 10 with Embiid just outside. Can I assume this is a reflection of how Rhett seems them with his dynasty hat on?

Yeah I think a good deal of that is projecting a few years out... I'm just a fan of kinda always trying to go for it and I feel like you've got at least 2-3 more monster years out of Embiid before those other dudes start to catch up at all
