16team h2h 9 cat

Both players locked in for this year and next two years

I have: DeAndre Hunter, 1st round pick (most likely 9-16) 2023

for

Kawhi…

This can only be answered by the direction your team is going. If you can win it all this year baking in the missed games, I take it. If this is your home run/hail mary swing piece that you'd be counting on to win it, I'd hesitate.

What are the rules for keeping players drafted? Like how long can you keep the guy that you take in 2023? Is there a lottery for the draft?

Looking at my rookie rankings+where they rank for dynasty, it's almost a lock that the top-10 fantasy rookies will be close to the top-100. Obviously we know what Kawhi is as a per-game player, but I am not confident we'll see enough of him to make him an elite elite player again. That's both in games played and minutes per game, and that massively drops his ranking...maybe to the point where the Hunter side is better value as soon as next year depending on the pick.

Wow! You are all the best! I am new to this fantasy basketball world and appreciate all the help.

In our 16 team league, 8 make the playoffs, and the next 8 enter a tournament for top 8 lottery odds. Top 8 playoff teams get draft pick in reverse order of records. I am in 5th/6th place and have a decent squad.

It is a 300$ cap and you keep 8 starters per year, plus four minors, and then enter a free agent draft with rest of players.

You keep a player, including minors (which are the players just drafted) for 3 years, and then can extend them 3 years after that. That costs their base salary, plus 10 per year. Ie you draft Chet for 16, keep for 3 years, extend for 3 for a yearly total of 46 for the last 3 years.

That is a lot.. I am brand new to this, listened to Dan and was able to get a pretty good squad, minus making a major mistake at the start. I extended Hunter for 3 years at 38 dollars. Kawhi is 40 for 3 years.

The last caveat is that you can drop a guarantee player, but you get half their salary cap space back the last year of their contract.

A lot of details.. basically stuck with Hunter and he will kill my cap the next 3 years. Nobody wants to touch him with his salary in my league, outside of this Kawhi offer given to me:

@tnshiners I think I do a pretty okay job sometimes! lol

With the salary implications on there and your team being top-5ish, I'm taking Kawhi and sucking it up for the title. Hurry before they see he hit a game winner!

Hey, everyone! What do you think of:

Brook Lopez

for

Vanderbilt, Jalen McDaniels, 3rd round pick 2023

Trying to win this year..

@tnshiners I'm not sure how the third round pick works... is that just rookies, so basically an early to mid second round rookie, or are there other players involved? A picture of what last years third round picks might be the easiest way to convey that

In terms of winning this year it's Brook, but I think Jalen and Vandy can still help you win while cutting your age by a decade and picking up an asset...just depends on what sort of categories you need
