Hey! I have my big money draft on Monday and I drew the 1st pick! 12tm standard 9 Cat
I've never gone into a draft with a preplanned punt, but I'm definitely thinking a punt block with Jokic is the way to go. I just want to make see if I'm screwing myself later in the draft by going this hard. This is what my draft board tiers look like
1 - Jokic
24-25 Sabonis, Siakam, Adebayo
48-49 Ingram, Bane, Fox, Middleton, Giddey(reaching, but I like him and he isn't coming back), Brunson, Lavine, Rozier, Maxey
72-73 Segun, Vassell, Jamal Murray, Wagner, Grant
96-97 Laurie, KPJ, Hayward, Jabari Smith
120-121 Jalen Smith, Norm Powell, Cam Johnson
144 Isaiah Johnson, Suggs

H2H or roto? With H2H you could also punt 3's on Jokic instead of blocks if that ends up being easier...
H2h, I was looking at punt 3s too, but they're so much easier to get late in the draft
Hey Dan, I am the 8th pick in a 12 team 9 cat H2H. Considering Harden and Curry went for 6 and 7, which one do you recommend between Lillard / Trae / Tatum?

@dbesbris Thanks! And do you recommend to punt a category (or 2) after tatum's pick or just go with players that can bring you a mix of everything like PG / Cade...?
@juanabdo1 If it's a super competitive league, yeah, you probably consider a punt of some kind... hard to win H2H leagues that are truly tough without giving up on some cat
@dbesbris I thought of punting rebounds but that would make me indirectly punt blocks and fg% having a team of guards only. Would you go with this approach or you have any other idea in mind?
@juanabdo1 I've done a punt-Bigs build. It's really hard to win by more than a 5-4 margin and you really can't afford many mistakes. You could also make your 2nd and 3rd round picks and then decide if you want to punt anything. Doesn't have to be done at the first selection.
@dbesbris Since it does not matter in our league by how much you win, I can go with pts/ass/stls/3pts/ft% and hope to win the turnovers in case a category messes up but it is risky I know

I'm kind of digging the punt 3s w Jokic now, but I'm having a hard time getting my points up.

Gobert... Derozen feels like a reach even though it allows me to move forward pretty balance. If I went for Zion I'd be punting fts at that point too. I thought Jokic would be easier, but maybe I'm just over thinking
The beauty of Jokic is you don't HAVE to punt anything. Like, if you wanted, you could very easily just take a scorer who hits 3's in the 2nd or 3rd round and whammo you're all caught up!
