I'm a husband, father and fantasy sports fanatic. I've been playing some fantasy sport or other since the fall of 1996, thanks to one of my childhood best friends, Brent. I enjoy watching all major sports, reading fantasy novels, watching TV shows and movies, playing video games and writing about fantasy baseball. I started at Sports Ethos in 2023, just writing one article a week and cutting my teeth in fantasy sports writing and I am now a co-lead of the Fantasy Baseball department, co-host of the Fantasy MLB Today podcast and the author of two weekly articles, our dynasty baseball rankings and a handful of random articles a year. Pickups of the Day for August 4th
The later we get into the season, the more vital productive waiver wire finds become. Losing a player to injury can be even more difficult to replace, especially as fantasy league trade deadlines loom and the real life trade deadline has passed. Today I have two players who were affected by the trade deadline and find themselves in more productive roles than before, plus a Seattle outfielder whose production we can no longer ignore.

Now that the MLB trade deadline is over and the dust has settled, tens of players have moved from one team to another, while some never left home, with greener pastures just out of their reach.
We’ve gone over who the winners were after the trade deadline was over, so today we will be going over the losers. Remember, this is from a fantasy perspective, not an in-real-life perspective, so it doesn’t matter if a player joined a good team if the ballpark negatively affects their ability to hit home runs, it matters because the park can hurt their overall fantasy production.
