Anthony Kates
I'm a husband, father and fantasy sports fanatic. I've been playing some fantasy sport or other since the fall of 1996, thanks to one of my childhood best friends, Brent. I enjoy watching all major sports, reading fantasy novels, watching TV shows and movies, playing video games and writing about fantasy baseball. I started at Sports Ethos in 2023, just writing one article a week and cutting my teeth in fantasy sports writing and I am now a co-lead of the Fantasy Baseball department, co-host of the Fantasy MLB Today podcast and the author of two weekly articles, our dynasty baseball rankings and a handful of random articles a year. I support the Houston Astros, Dallas Mavericks, Tennessee Titans and all things Texas Longhorns.

Part two will post on Friday, wherein Anthony will breakdown the seasons of the top 20 ranked outfielders at the end of the season, that were not drafted inside the top 20 at the position, plus debut his way too early top 20 outfielders for 2025.

Read More2024 Top 100 Fantasy Baseball Prospects – End of Season Update
These are the top 100 non-MLB debuted prospects, so no Dylan Crews, no Jackson Jobe, no Junior Caminero. I prefer to rank them like this because, in the league I am in, once someone is up at the big league level, they are no longer eligible to be in a minor league spot, so why would they be ranked with the other minor league prospects?

Join Anthony on the final pitching stream pod of the 2024 Fantasy Baseball season, as he goes over Paul’s Saturday streams and Sunday’s lone stream. That’s right, only one Sunday stream, but he also discusses a handful of barely rostered starters you might want to use if you are focused on a volume play to win your pitching categories. He also discusses the plans for the 2024 off-season content and the 2025 Fantasy Baseball Draft Guide.

Last week we covered corner infielders and three weeks ago we went over the middle infielders, so this week we’re going to talk about the catchers and outfielders (a weird combo, I know, but if it is good enough for Daulton Varsho, it is good enough for me) who have risen and fallen this season, with a special shoutout for Shohei Ohtani.

Well, this is it, the final Monday Pickups of the Day. Whether you are competing in the final week of your rotisserie league or in the title round of your head to head or points leagues, there is still value to be found on the free agency pile. I took a look around and found a handful of names who can help out, including a starting pitcher on a scoreless streak, a power-speed demon in the form of a Yankees rookie outfielder and four relievers who are currently closing for their respective teams, that did not start the year out in the position. Don’t let your season fizzle out, go out with a bang and scoop up whoever can help you put on that title belt at the end of the season!

Two weeks ago, we discussed middle infielders and their fantasy values going forward, in dynasty and re-draft leagues. This week, we will be going over corner infielders and their dynasty and re-draft values. Unlike shortstop, neither third base nor first base is super deep with tons of young talent, but there is one player who is head and shoulders better than anyone else at a corner infielder position.
