Here’s some Pick ‘Em plays our team is looking at for Thursday’s round one action!
PrizePicks
Ludvig Aberg UNDER 69 Strokes
The sensation swede has been quite the impressive newcomer on Tour finishing inside the top 25 in four of his first seven events. He is an elite driver of the golf ball who should be able to stay out of trouble off the tee and put himself in position to score on this course. Based on pure talent, he may be a top 5 golfer in this field, and I expect him to continue to play well on Thursday.
Justin Thomas OVER 70 Strokes
Eventually Justin Thomas is going to snap out of this funk, but I am going to have to see it before I bet on it. While he did rebound in the second round with an even par round, Justin shot over 80 in round one of The Open last week. In addition to his poor recent form, Thomas can get a little wild off the tee from time to time, which gives me pause at this course, given how much water and danger lurks.

Tournament Plays
Gary Woodland UNDER 70.5 Bogeys
I love the course fit for big Gary at TPC Twin Cities. Woodland is an elite ball striker who is often let down by his putter. The outright betting number wasn’t where I had hoped it would come in at, so this is a great way to get exposure to Gary. He should be able to give himself enough opportunities to go under this number on Thursday.
Keith Mitchell OVER 66.5 Strokes
This line stuck out to me as a little strange. I don’t necessarily dislike Mitchell here, but going under a 66 seems ambitious for a guy coming off a missed cut in a tournament where he was one of the favorites. Mitchell is a poor Bentgrass putter and has lost strokes with approach in each of his previous three visits to Minnesota. There is nothing in his stats or recent form to suggest he will be going under this number.
