    Spencer Strider UNDER 9.0 Strikeouts

I’m not sure what’s going on with Spencer Strider at the moment, but he hasn’t been able to post some of the prolific strikeout numbers we’re used to seeing out of him. He has dropped to fourth in the odds race for NL Cy Young (+800) after being the prohibitive favorite earlier in the year. His whiff% on his three pitches are actually up this year, but his ability to get batters out is the problem. In 14 starts, he’s only made it past the sixth inning in two of them.

Lane Thomas OVER 7.5 Hitter Fantasy Score

In June, the Nationals have played 15 games and Thomas has gotten a hit in 13 of them. Left-handed Jordan Montgomery gets the start for the Cardinals and Lane Thomas is hitting .356 against lefties. In Thomas’ current seven game hitting streak, he has accumulated 11 hits.

    Austin Barnes UNDER .5 Hits

Austin Barnes will be behind the plate tonight, as he usually is when Clayton Kershaw is pitching. That gives us a unique opportunity to fade a hitter who is hitting .107 on the season. Barnes just hasn’t been able to get consistent playing time, which probably does not help him develop any sort of rhythm. Barnes has only four hits in 40 at bats on the road this year.

    Christian Walker OVER .5 Singles

Colin Rea is at the bottom of this Milwaukee rotation and Arizona is one of the hottest teams in the league. Walker has been a big part of the Diamondbacks’ offense this year and he’s had two hits in each of their last four games.

    Tournament Plays

Gerrit Cole  OVER 6.5 Total Ks

The Mariners have three players who rank in the top 10 when it comes to striking out. Julio Rodriguez is just outside of that with the 14th most strikeouts over the year. Cole had eight strikeouts in his last start against the Mets and despite some bumpy performances, this number is a little low for him at home against a team that strikes out a lot.

Steven Kwan OVER .5 Total RBIs + Runs

The Guardians will be taking on Oakland, who are starting an opener in Cleveland tonight. It will be Ken Waldichuk who will give way to the usually shaky Luis Medina after him. Steven Kwan has six hits in his last three games and scored four runs himself in Cleveland’s last game, which came in Arizona. Kwan’s OBP is .339 this year and the Guardians should be able to put some runs on the board tonight.
