Nathan Eovaldi OVER 5.0 Pitcher Strikeouts
Eovaldi’s pitch count has increased in each one of his starts since returning from the IL. In his last start, which came against this same Mariners team, Eovaldi got up to 86 pitches and struck out six batters. He has not been as sharp as he was earlier in the season, but the matchup on Friday comes against the Mariners who rank second in total strikeouts. That combined with Bruce Bochy’s desire to let Eovaldi work his way back into game shape make this an attractive number.
Ty Blach OVER 3.0 Pitcher Strikeouts
The 2023 Twins have the honor of having struck out more than any other team in MLB history. They set the record and still have three games to go before that tally is complete. Since the beginning of August, Blach has gone over 80 pitches in every start he’s made. Blach has registered at least three strikeouts in six out of his last seven starts.

Freddie Freeman OVER 1.5 Total Bases
The Giants just announced the dismissal of Gabe Kapler and now the NL West leading Dodgers will be coming to town. Freddie Freeman, in any other year, would be getting MVP consideration for the kind of numbers that he’s put up. He ranks third in total bases this year behind Ronald Acuna and Matt Olson. Right-handed Keaton Winn will be getting the start for the Giants in Friday’s game.
Jordan Lyles OVER 3.0 Earned Runs Allowed
Of all qualified starters, Jordan Lyles has given up the most amount of earned runs. Lyles has been unlucky to have picked up 17 losses, but he has also given up way too many runs. The “Bronx Bombers,” who have not been bombing very much of late, at least have Aaron Judge back who is on a quest to reach 40 home runs despite missing almost 60 games. Lyles has allowed 43 runs in his last 10 games.
