Fantasy Recap: Week 16 Sunday Slate

    Key storylines/What to Watch

The Packers were able to stay in the flames and pull off a huge victory on Christmas day, winning their third in a row and advancing to 7-8 on the season.  They keep their playoff hopes alive and if they win out, they can make the playoffs.  The Dolphins drop to 8-7 and their playoff hopes are dwindling away after losing their fourth straight game.  They are currently holding onto the third and final wildcard spot in the AFC, but with four teams sitting at 7-8, they need to win and get some help in order to secure their spot in the postseason. Surprisingly with a game that had 46 points, there were very few big fantasy performances in this game, with players mostly just having mediocre or poor outings.

    Top Performers

Jaylen Waddle: Waddle had the best fantasy performance on both sides of the ball on Sunday, finishing as the WR5 on the week. He hauled in 5-of-6 targets for 143 yards, including a 87-yard touchdown. The second-year stud should have no troubles maintaining his top-12 status on the season, where he currently sits as the eighth-best WR this year.

Tyreek Hill: Hill has been tremendous this year and although his catch total was lower than normal, he still cracked the 100-yard barrier. He finished the contest against the Packers with 103 yards on four receptions and was targeted six times. He is the WR2 on the year and continues to get the job done for his fantasy GMs.

    Biggest Busts

Aaron Jones: After one of his better performances of the season last week, Jones put together one of his worst in Week 16, finishing the week as the RB41. He was brutal against the soft Dolphins defense, only managing 34 total yards on eight touches. It was A.J. Dillon who had the superior game, although it was far from spectacular. He salvaged 48 yards on 13 touches, but fortunately found the endzone.

Raheem Mostert: Much like Jones, Mostert had a monster first game in the fantasy playoffs, following it up with an absolute stinker. He rushed eight times for 45 yards, adding two receptions for four yards while losing a fumble. Mostert finished the week as the RB47, while Jeff Wilson Jr. made his return and was the RB who found the endzone, finishing with 40 yards on 10 combined touches.
