Back to winning ways yesterday, as both Nathan and Keith turned in positive nights in the Pick ‘Em streets on Tuesday. Let’s keep it rolling into Wednesday’s 10-game NBA slate!
Yesterday’s Results
Nathan
As it should go, the two lines that saw movement in our favor throughout the day were the two to fall short on yesterday’s Jayson Tatum’s 1Q points line moved all the way to 6.5 before tip off, but that didn’t matter as Tatum only played five minutes in the first quarter, despite playing at least 7 minutes in 24-of-25 first quarters prior, and he went on to score 17 points in the second! Despite Toronto allowed three players to see at least 19 potential rebounds in their last game vs. Atlanta, Vucevic led the Bulls with a meager 12 potential rebounds and was the only Bull with double-digit potential rebounds. Thankfully, Dejounte Murray came through with free throws in the final minute of the first quarter to hit his line. Haliburton appeared dicey, but he only scored three points in the second half and sat all the fourth quarter. Jonathan Kuminga poured in a ton of points late after Joel Embiid went down in the fourth quarter last night, securing the winning day for us.
Keith
So dang close. The DeRozan bet was good any day of the week. He had a fantastic first quarter, but the scoring was minimal. The Caruso play was a needless sweat, but it hit for us. It was the John Collins play that sunk this, and he had his minutes limited in this one when I thought they’d need his big body to get an edge. Maybe I was right because they didn’t play him a lot and lost by a decent margin.
