Welcome to another Wednesday edition of DFS delivery, as always I am your host taking you through a wide variety of NBA action tonight. Unlike last week where there was no NBA action due the extended All-Star break. We have a rather light eight-game schedule in store for everyone. When it comes to the higher tier of the pricing range, there are some stars out for tonight’s action while others are in new homes making immediate impacts for their teams.

Nearly half of tonight’s action feature game totals over 230 points, making tonight a fantastic spot to attack high-paced fantasy action. As always I am going to be highlighting some of my favorite plays for cash and tournaments alike, with a strong lean to expected competitive games and high-scoring affairs. Please check all injury reports prior to tip-off in order to stay current on any last minute lineup changes. Without more prelude, let’s dive into my selections.

    Player Tiers

    Expensive Tier

Joel Embiid ($11,600) – The first of my two 76ers high-priced plays. Keep in mind the game spread is quite high at over 10 points. Assuming this game is close, Embiid should have plenty of open looks in the paint given the extra attention to Harden (see below). I fully anticipate a 30 and 10 performance for Mr. Embiid.

James Harden ($11,200) – Arguably one of the best one-two punches currently in the NBA, Harden has fit in seamlessly with the 76ers in his two games thus far. In the last meeting against the Knicks he put up a whopping 80 fantasy points. I expect another strong outing tonight against the slipping Knicks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($10,000) – Without Josh Giddey, SGA has been on a tear in recent games, coming off back-to-back 60 fantasy point efforts. Despite a tough matchup on paper against the Nuggets, he should continue to flourish as the key offensive COG for this young Thunder team as they head towards the lottery.

CJ McCollum ($9,000) – CJ is fitting in quite nicely for his new Pelicans team, averaging nearly 50 fantasy points a game thus far. The one-two punch with Ingram is becoming a shining light in an otherwise disappointing year for this team. Leading the team in scoring and a matchup vs. the Kings seems like the perfect recipe for high fantasy upside.

    Mid-Tier

Anfernee Simons ($8,200) – Coming off two straight poor performances, Simons is long overdue for a strong showing in what should be a somewhat close affair against the Suns who are now missing their all-star backcourt. This is the perfect bounce-back spot, at lower ownership as well.

Brandon Ingram ($7,900) – With CJ coming into town, the adjustment period has been difficult thus far for Ingram, but he is starting to round into form at the right time given that he’ll be facing a poor Kings defense. I expect Ingram to flirt with a double-double in this contest, making him a high-upside target in this price range.

Jarrett Allen ($7,400) – Allen is long overdue for a strong 20-20 game for Cleveland. A matchup against the Hornets could be just what the doctor ordered in order for him to break out again. This is a great opportunity for Allen to put up strong rebounds along with points.

Cameron Johnson ($5,300) – Cameron Johnson’s usage has already increased over the last couple weeks without Chris Paul, and tonight he has the added bonus of not having Booker to share the scoring load for this team. He should be a popular target near the bottom of the mid-tier price range.

    Value

DeMarcus Cousins ($4,500) – I am going after Cousins, due to the expectation this game turns into a blowout fairly quickly. Cousins is coming off a monster performance off the bench in limited playing time in the last game, making him a boom-or-bust candidate that I am all-in on tonight.

Gabe Vincent ($4,200) – Once again Lowry is not playing in this game, opening up additional shot and minute opportunities for Vincent. Coming off a 29 fantasy point effort, I fully anticipate another strong outing against the Bucks.

Immanuel Quickley ($4,200) – The microwave scorer the Knicks desperately need off the bench is finally getting some playing time this season. Coming off a game where he played 26 minutes and hit some massive shots keeping the Knicks in the game against Philly, he will be counted on once again tonight in a tough road matchup against this very same team.

Honorable Mentions: Nikola Jokic ($12,400), De’Aaron Fox ($8,100), Deandre Ayton ($6,800), Brandon Goodwin ($6,000, if Darius Garland is ruled out), and Kevin Love ($5,500)
